I tried resetting the project and it didn't fix it. It started after x-Plane (8.21; i upgraded recently to 8.32 though) locked up the entire machine and i had to push and hold-in the off button. This computer wants to download only SETI workunits right now and its running out of einstein workunits and work altogether (it gas a CPDN unit and it ran out of LHC WUs). Please help!

The computer ID is 2115951

Upgrade your version of BOINC. BOINC versions 4.19 and below give up after failing one attempt at downloading. You have version 4.18. Later versions just try to download again if their previous attempt or attempts fail. Go [http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php]here[/url] and download version 4.45. I do not know if LHC supports major release 5 versions of the BOINC client. Does anyone have problems with release 5 of BOINC with LHC?

5 works for me with PPAH, PAH, Einstein, Seti, boinc alpha, rosetta, and LHC.

4.19 is the minimum to work with seti. Boinc 4.18 and earlier have been blocked (this was some months ago).

The download error was fixed in Boinc 4.19.

I don't understand exactly what the OP (original posters) problem is. Seti 4.18 is the current science application

Almost sounds like it may be a debt problem?

That computer is running version 5.2.13. The stderr out has <core_client_version>5.2.13</core_client_version> The application version 4.18 is the science application, and is current.

(Sorry, no help from here this morning, it's too early in the day for constructive thought)

I'm running BOINC 5.2.13 and it has the vanillia 4.18 seti client. It gets the WUs allocated but before even the first download starts tranferring in the tranfer screen, ALL the seti workunits go 'download error', but it continues downloading the workunits, but won't process them. The machine is a Alienware 7700m laptop with a desktop Intel 550 processor (3.4GHZ HT, 1meg cache).

None of the projects other than SETI seem to be broken but i'm not sure as it just don't want to download work for them (project share quota probably). LHC did go through a complete reset and Einstien a partial reset after the x-plane full machine lock-up crash and both got new computer entries which i merged. SETI and CPDN had no such reset.

You're getting errors -200 on better_banner.jpg
This means that better_banner.jpg is the wrong size. Downloading new work before you have a right size better_banner.jpg won't do any good. So for now put seti to No New Work, please.

Then exit BOINC.

Navigate to your \\BOINC\\setiathome.berkeley.edu directory and unzip this ZIP in there.

Then restart BOINC. Now try to take Seti off of No new work (Allow new work).

I downloaded the zip. I'll install it when I get home (the afflicted machine is at home).
