deffered connection again and again and again

I have been for some years a loyal member of the Seti number crunchers, however I feel not for much longer. Since changing to Boinc the system has been rubbish, one problem after another. I have the latest software version of Boinc and window home XP running on a Mesh PC only purchased last May.

The new software seemed to cure the down/uploading loading problems, now all I get is a deferred connection.
Whatis going on and when will it be fixed ?????

Can you give us a little more information to work with? The last twenty or so entries from the Messages tab, pasted into a reply, would give us a look at what BOINC is doing (or not).

It's completely normal to see a "communications deferred" message on the Projects tab, after having a connection to the server. That's to keep the hosts from trying to re-contact too quickly and pounding the server. What we need to see from the entries is if you're having successful contacts, and if now, what are the errors showing.

Your system seems to have received two new WUs just minutes ago.

Seems a bit queer. What kind of connection do you have?
Can you also copy/paste the lines of 'messages' tab in here?
