It does not hide, because it's always active. Depends on how you installed it, you can stop the Manager from loading, but still crunch. If installed as a Service, just remove Boinc Manager from the start menu. If installed as a Single or Multiple user, then replace Boinc Manager in the startup menu with just BOINC (you may need some switches, which I do not know). ![]() My movie https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/502242 |

Right click in the system tray, not on an icon but next to or between them. You'll see a menu whose last item is Properties, select that. You should see a box labeled Task Bar and Start Menu Properties. On the Task Bar tab, the lower section is Notification Area, with a button that says Customize: click that button. Find BOINC Manager in that list and click on it. The right column is Behavior, you should see a drop-down box appear. Your options are Hide when Inactive (the default, I think), Always Hide and Always Show. Select Always Hide, click OK, then Apply and OK. You shouldn't see the BOINC icon again unless you specifically show your hidden icons. MJ ![]() |

What I do is open task manager and kill explorer.exe, then I go to File->Run, type explorer and hit enter. This hides any tray icons that don't update themselves. AFAIK it works in both Win98 and XP. |
