What`s that, google yahoo??? This is built in to BOINC so it can verify the connection. Those two sites are supposed to be up always. He say that the Problem came in the course of time! One minute it doesn't work, the next it does and then stops again... Methinks that he has a prob with his sw proxy. Could be similiar to a non-prob I have at home sometimes: I run an AllegroSurf proxy from RhinoSoft with a license for 3 parallel connections. In fact I have attached 5 machines (of which 2 only connect to the Internet when BOINC contacts central command). So, from time to time, I happen to try to connect when there are already 3 connections running. The fourth connection will fail until one of the others is freed. :-)= Greybeard All about BOINC: BOINC-Wiki (by Paul D. Buck) |

So. I tell him he should look at his config (PC`s/Proxy)! On our Board i have say to him that i think not Berkeley is the Problem! Maybe i am right! :D Now. When the Software Proxy is the Problem, i hope he/we can clear this! Thank you barbarossa.... Stefan www.foxlexx.de |
