On one of my machines all my wu have Activities Suspended next to them.
I've quit BOINC then started it again with no luck, I have even rebooted with the same result. And with all but one I've reset projects, and I get the same message.
Other machine is working fine
Can someone help, as I'm going away for a few days & would like to crunch some wu while I'm away

Click on Commands, and make sure Suspended isn't selected.
If run based on preferences is selected, better check what preferences you've selected.

Oh, and the other thing to check is on the Project tab, select the project in question (i'll asssume Seti) & make sure the project itself isn't suspended (Status column at the end there).

Thanks for the advice, I had already done all suggestions, up till last night every thing was fine.

I have just checked & the same messages are their but my SETI screensaver is working & seems to be crunching. It takes longer for the screensaver to kick in, but working ok!! Strange

I'm wondering what exactly is suspended. Is it a single work unit, or the seti project, or the entire BOINC manager. The first thing to do is go to the commands menu and make sure "run always" is selected. That will eliminate any preferences problem. Then select SETI under the projects tab and if that says "suspended" out to the right, click the resume button. If that doesn't do it then look at the work tab and select any suspended work unit and click the resume button. If the button says "suspend" on either of the last two, then they're not suspended.

All tabs are clear apart from the work tab which says Activities Suspended. Everything has stopped working now, will not cruch at all.
What I have noticed on sreensavewr startup I get "Conection to BOINC" then " Can't connect as BOINC is suspended"

Repeating earlier advice: go to the Commands menu and select "run always" and "network activity always available".

BOINC automatically runs benchmarks every 5 days. When it does this all the projects are suspended.

Is this happening??? Messages tab should provide enlightenment.

Don't know how I missed it, but my preference page was saying

Do work while computer is running on batteries?
(matters only for portable computers) no
Do work while computer is in use? no
Changed these to yes & everything seems to be working fine (apart from SETI being down)

Many thanks to all who replied to my cries of help
