I'm trying to reach http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/stats.html
but apparently this page was taken offline?
Is there a new link to the stats-page?
I must have missed that one...

The new home page for SETI Classic is "http://seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu/".

Or, even better, take a look here:

BOINCstats
NI! stats
BoincSynergy
OcUK
boink.dk

As I think the task distribution here at Boinc works fine:

The project teams does the science, the application coding, and they deliver the raw data for the statistics. They even include some rudimentary statistics on the site as well.

The eager community delivers all kind of statistics, banners, competition, gadgets...you name it, it's probably already there.

And the community gets to do that part exactly the way the user's want the stats.

Very good true "DC" for the project and good FOSS-style working also.

Exactly as it should be! :)

Good stuff,

Yes I know that, but where can I get the actual XML-files?
It's that page I was talking about.

Yeah, something seems to have nuked the /stats/ subdirectory on the webserver. I suspect that directory probably lives on the same RAID as the up/download directories. That RAID was taken offline for the time being (the public facing side of it) to help with the current backlog problems. Since apache is trying to redirect from /stats/ to /stats.html I suspect the stats directory isn't mounted at the moment. I see my stats site did pick up an update about 19 hours ago though so they must have brought it up for at least a few minutes.

Ok, maybe its just me.. but I download stats manually...

and I've not been able to get them for over a week...

Yet other stats sites seem to be showing something...

anyone know whats going on?!?!

I'm going directly to:

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/stats/

and getting:

Not Found
The requested URL /stats.html was not found on this server.

I also get that error, but my server downloads the XML files just fine.

Interesting

I changed my perl script so that instead of scanning the directory for .gz files, and downloading them

it specifically looks for the host.gz, user.gz, team.gz files.

and wonder of wonders it worked like a charm...

damn screwed up if you ask me...

Very interesting indeed. I thought it had to do with the outage but I guess not. My site also continues to download the files fine. They must have turned off directory file listings and tweaked apache a bit or something.

I know they still link to the directory...

would have been nice if they had let us know they were going to change how that worked....

*sighs*

I hadn't done my seti-reports since the downtime started.. I only really got concerned when everything else got caught up...

I am getting an error at the top of the Boinc Synergy Team Stats page that reads:
"Warning: session_start(): The session id contains invalid characters, valid characters are only a-z, A-Z and 0-9 in /disks/koloth/a/inet_services/boinc_www/share/projects/sah/html/inc/util.inc on line 40"
Its just a minor programming error and I'm sure it will be fixed soon.
