I'm using BOINC on FreeBSD 5.4 for amd64, and I can't get any WU. There is a message from server. Message from server : platform 'amd64-portbld-freebsd5.4' not found Is this my personal problem, or server's problem? |

It´s like the message says there is no port / client for your FreeBSD 5.4 and amd64 cpus. So boinc fails to download it. take a look here http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/ports.cgi?query=boinc-setiathome&stype=all maybe you find a matching client for your system otherwise you have to compile it yourself. regards Join BOINC United now! |

Thank you for your kind answer, Crunch3r. But, I have already installed these ports. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/ports.cgi?query=boinc&stype=all&release=5-STABLE%2Famd64 Before, I could get WU with these ports. But recently I can't. I don't know what to do now. |

I'm not absolutely sure about it so this is more a hint what to look for. I think you can override the requested program in app_info.xml and tell BOINC that you have your own project client and don't need the download. This would allow you to try an optimized client for your system from a second source or download the one that worked before again from the SETI site or even compile your own project client. |

I had the same problem, with freebsd5.4 and amd64. I had to make reinstall boinc-setiathome. then it created the app_info.xml and link to setiathome binary properly under /var/db/boinc/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu br |

I had the same problem, with freebsd5.4 and amd64. I had to make reinstall boinc-setiathome. Thank you for answering me. Reinstalled the ports three times, and finally it started to get WU. |
