Message 124445 - Posted: 17 Jun 2005, 3:06:40 UTC

I had installed the Boinc Software and had entered the website and the key. But I had seen that Im only have 0 finished WU, but on my Seti Classic I have 1340 completet wu´s.
And I had seen that my Username is wrong, I had wrote it Morp]-[eus and in Boinc it is wrote Morpheus. It isnt a big problem for me, but I think that cant be.
When Im log into the new Site and watch on my Account Site there is all normal, like in my old Account.
And when I watch at my certificates I can see that I had started at the 25.April and has no wu complete :( strange

I hope you can help me

Your Classic will only show on your Acct. Boinc Seti shows on the certificates here at Boinc Seti@H not Classic. Everyone starts at zero here..

Why? I mean it is Seti too only on Boinc, isnt it the same thing, the same Project?
Why I can transfer only my Account Data but cant transfer my wu´s from the classic?

It is the same project but the way the "reward" is calculated is completely different.

Nobody of us who has been using S@H Classic has his WU's converted in credit as the system of calculating the "reward" is totally different, altough the way of crunching is quite the same.

Why I can transfer only my Account Data but cant transfer my wu´s from the classic?

They have been transfered as your WU's are stated as of the 15th of March, but as said not converted.

Isnt that unfair? The classic users have all have donated a lot of CP time, in my case over 6000 hours, and for whatever reason we are being forced to transfer to BOINC. The statistics for BOINC may be calulated differently but all results should be shown. If you insist on continuing this forced march to BOINC then at least transfer our classic stats as well

I don't see how it's unfair since everyone starts at zero here with BOINC.

@papa9571

Something you are forgetting is that most of us are/were classic users as well. We have also donated a lot of time to the project, and also started at zero with BOINC. Nothing unfair about it.

And as for your classic results, they are transferred... Anyone can click on your name in the forum and see your effort.

I guess the problem I'm having is that all my Classic credits are not showing. It lists me with 18,ooo credits when I have over 22,000???? Just found answer, sry, see that is will be updated when Classic is totally shut down. :)

The classic statistics are updated by snapshot, and the next one will be done after classic closes down at which point your statics for classic will be updated.
