Hi! I'm one of the many who just switched from SETI Classic to Boinc. The new software (testing out both the menubar-version and BOINC Manager 4.43) is running fine it seem and I already processed several WU's during the last few days. However, when I check my account I don't see any evidence at all that these WU's was worked through and upped properly... Is this normal or should I do something to fix the problem? - cmarcus |

SETI BOINC is a little different then the old classic. Each work unit must be validated by at least 2 other computers before it is awarded credit. That means it could be a few days before you actually see the credit. However, you can monitor the status by going to your computer list under your Account page on the website. There it will show the work units you have downloaded, the work units that have been returned (pending credit) and those that have been validated and the actual credit awarded. Now, if you only have work units showing "Ready to Return in your BOINC Manager (if you are using the BOINC MANAGER) connect to the internet, go to the projects tab, highlight SETI and then click the UPDATE button on the left. That will complete the sent process and those units status can now be viewed under your computer list on the Account Page. ![]() Team MacNN - The best Macintosh team ever. |

I think the delay between upping and credit granted was probably even expanded due to apparent problems with the storage server lately(?) Thx a lot, Shaktai, your answer was most helpful! |
