Currently you can still run S@H classic, but it will eventually be terminated.

DC programs do not play well together. On each machine, you should only run one program at a time. S@H runs at a higher priority than BOINC projects so S@H gets all of the CPU time and the BOINC project gets none except when S@H is reading/writing disk or sending results and getting WUs.

If SETI@home classic is not running, there is no need to uninstall it unless you want to free up the space on your hard drive. As stated avove, don't run both at the same time. You may want to keep the classic until its operation is completely dead, it's up to you.

On my machine at least, this is not true. Both are running happily and getting cycles. (S@H is set to run when open and as screensaver, BOINC is set to Run Always.)

I just stopped the "classic" one
Didnt delete it, just have it waiting in case I do have to fire it back up
Well until they get the bugs and stuff worked out of the BOINC one anyway

I set my classic to "Idle Only" in Seti Driver and left them running. That way, if I cannot get work for BOINC, classic starts running again and my systems are not idle. Seems to be working fine so far.

Seti Classic is not "installed" on the computers the way most programs are installed, so you cannot uninstall using "Add/Remove Programs". The Seti Classic programs are simply copied to a folder on your hard drive. To uninstall: Delete the shortcut from your startup folder (if you put one there), then simply delete the folder containing Seti Classic. That's it!
