| Personal background |
I am an attorney licensed to practice law in Wisconsin since 1991. I concentrate my practice in the area of criminal defense, and have authored several treatises for the State Bar of Wisconsin; I am a regular lecturer at Continuing Legal Education seminars on traffic law topics (we are required to do 30 credits of work every two years to maintain our licenses to practice); I have testified before the State Legislature many times related to criminal law legislation as I am viewed as an "expert" in the field; I have also lectured nationally, and have co-authored treatises for the prosecutors as well as the defense.
I firmly believe that those who believe we are alone in the universe are either extremely arrogant to think so or delusional. We cannot be alone, and therefore, I am doing my level best to assist in the search for those civilizations who have crawled out of the muck, learned to breathe the methane (argon, oxygen, carbon dioxide, sulfur, etc.---insert favorite gas or gaseous compound here---), and developed into cognizant, self-aware beings who have yet to destroy themselves.
