Personal background
I'm retired after 39.9 years with NASA and now working at Houston Zoo as a photo archivist (archiving old imagery (slide, print media) and new imagery to our digital imagery database. I also get called out to take pictures of our animals, keepers, guests, events, etc. fun!

I've run setiathome for a few years now and created the NASA Johnson Space Center team.

So, what's the deal with this BOINC thing? Does it ever work?

I've been set up with it (I think) for a couple of weeks now and have only managed to get a couple of work units in and out....but I have no results and now find I cannot get any more work because my RPC is too recent -- whatever that means.

This BOINC thing is just too hard......and I don't have the time it seems to require to get a work unit, much less get any credit for it.

Give me the old SETIatHome--which I'm still running by the way....

Such is progress, I guess.

I'll wait and see if this BOINC thing ever pans out....

But not for much longer....

Am I the only person feeling this way about it?
