Personal background
I currently am unemployed, but have been in the semiconductor manufacturing sector for over 30 years. I am a Senior member of IEEE and have patents in the general areas of IC Reliability and Outlier Data Analysis.

I grew up in the Chicago area, graduated from IIT in Chicago with a B.S. in Chemistry and later a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Michigan State University.

My most recent position was a Reliability Analyst for 8.5 years with Texas Instruments in Dallas, TX.

I recently rejoined SETI when the BOINC interface once again became easy to use.

While I wait until a job becomes available, I ride daily (TREK 6.5 MADONE) on local bike paths - avoiding the typical Billy-Bob Texan who has little respect for bicycles - let alone other autos.

I do have a tie to Sweden - three of my grandparents originated in Sweden. Maternal GPs came from Bohuslän and Öland. Sorry, but I also have a desire to get to Denmark (Tina Dickow!)

I run SETI in the hopes that from somewhere in the great expanse of this universe we detect other beings that share some of this 13.585 billion LY irregular volume (or brane?) of existence, preferably not Republicans from the USA.
