Thanks Chicken for answering his call for help as it were. I had to leave the keyboard for dinner.

While your here, quick question. Are there any differences in the cores of the opty and athlon they may cause this problem?

I'm a little confused as to why you would say that the optimized apps don't work on Windows 64-bit. I'm running chicken's app on this computer as well as this computer, both of which are running Windows XP 64-bit.

Hey guys, thanks for the posts. I'm looking for the client not the app. I already d/led chickens app (waiting patiently for a 64-bit version). I am going to try to compile a client by the intructions on Simon's website. Still looking for a precompiled client incase I can't get my compilation to work. Again, Thanks for any and all help!

Hi. I'm fairly new to linux, but was going to give it a try. Will the Intel libraries that are downloaded work for a AMD64 system?

I'm new to Linux as was looking for an optimized AMD64 Linux client. I'm running Ubuntu Linux. I tried looking for some on the porting and optimization page, however, they are either outdated of seem to be geared toward Intel. Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Thanks for any help.

I did like 15 WU's for that Oct 11, 99 tape all were fairly small and one large one around 85.? credits. Whats the deal with this tape anyway?

(edit) I just found 9 more in my cache, one of them is estimated around 75 credits.

OzzFan, I don't know if it will work for your accross town comps, but boincview will show you the GFlops on each computer that it monitors. I have a small network that I have my computers attached to, and can administer boinc from my main machine using this program.

I have 18.206 at current across 7 comps.
More to come, he he he. When finances allow.

Question, though, wouldn't a Mips benchmark be more of a accurate measurement of what you are looking for?

Downloaded and installed on a AMD X2 3800+. Seems to be running at a few hundred Mflops faster then the SSE2 app I was running earlier, at least according to boincview. Hope this helps some.
