I went to get my mail, oh 1 letter from IEHP, turns out they're sending a Nurse, how prophetic... Just as I was getting back in my car when a gust of wind tried to close the door on my right foot, yeah it hurt, the location was at the widest part, nothing is broken and I can stand and walk on it, it seems to have drawn some blood and hurt like hell for maybe 3 minutes, my foot is ok, I looked at it at home, sorry no pics. I did find out the 4 stock tire pressure sensors in my car are working, though I don't know about the 15x6" wide wheels that I bought if those 2 sensors work or not as the coin batteries might need replacement. It's 83F outside the cat cave, 13% humidity, SW winds 28-38mph, gusts to over 40mph. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Your job sounds interesting Carlos. How much fieldwork does it entail? |

Your job sounds interesting Carlos. How much fieldwork does it entail? Sounds like that is up to me. I supervise a staff of subject matter experts, like foresters, and biologists, I need a cultural archeologist. They are my eyes in the field. So I don't expect a lot. But I also will be responsible for outreach. One of the grants is to engage youth. So I will speak at schools and events encouraging underserved communities to participate and seek work in the fields. |

What plan? They do. They have been working to get a pawn elected as president of the US who will hand over half of Ukraine along with US military secrets. |

CNN says China is now aiding Russia, with chips, tools, spare parts, all in exchange for Russian Oil, source? The US government, the US needs to go on a war footing once again, Russia is devoting 30% of their economy to WAR, drafting another 200,000 to 300,000 people. Russia has just over 147 Million people to draw upon for war and they can afford human wave and artillery attacks on both Civilians and on Military forces, the Ukraine and Europe and the USA and Canada can not. Russia is not a friend of the USA... France has said they are sending ground troops to the Ukraine, France only have 2 Divisions of Ground Troops, many like 70% of French youth want to fight the Russians. Russia threatened France if they do, even if they were Peace Keepers which I do not suspect the French government may be wanting to do, as Russian forces in the continent of Africa are toppling former colonial governments friendly to France. Armaments, deterrent potential, economics... But the Soviets clearly won the war of espionage; they infiltrated many Western European societies and administrations back then. |

The last few posts are heading dangerously close to being better suited to the Politics forum. So, stop posting here about the events in the various war zones around the world or you may (will) find that posts just vanish. The most recent precipitation sounded like hail, looked like snow. I didn't venture out to use a tactile approach to determining which as it was travelling at high velocity. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

We had a severe thunderstorm yesterday, late in the evening. It was an unusually strong and spacious one for the early spring. One house in a southern suburb was hit by lightning; the roof burned down. Firefighting water rendered the house uninhabitable for now... no one injured... Here, normally we have severe lightning in summer only, associated with hot and humid days. Now we are back in the late winter; temperatures hardly reach 10°C (50F), possibly frost in the morning; overcast; some rain... |
