There is a beautiful springtime misty calm cool but nicely pastel bright.

I do wonder if all the surrounding ongoing sogginess is generating a lot more of this misty stuff?

... And I'm racing up against a hard deadline again...

And there's only me on this job! Ooops...!!

... Best crack onwards!! Busy!!!

Great sunrise. Puffy clouds and warm winds. Well, maybe not warm. 43f rising to the low 60s for the next two days. The rain again. I might have to spend some time outside today.

Winning on a Hump Day morning waiting for the sun to rise before doing some more grass cutting before more rain turns up.

Anyhow it's coffee time.

Cheers.

Ok, so from earlier...

The deadline was met, on contingency, with a mere 1 minute to spare! (Might have been down to the last few seconds but who cares for rounding error?!)

So... That was quite a culmination of interruptions and 'happenings' and the unholy distraction of the grumpy group over afar...

And so... The grumpy group made good progress in my last two days with them. They're still rather too lax about keeping things working but at least they are not end-stopping the equipment into oblivion. My stand-in has not made any screams or yelps so far, so all is as good as it can be over there. My keeping off the grotty fish 'n' chips has marvelously helped my insides. No tummy grumbles upon my return here, yay!

And the feral hound came wandering by. After some initial barking (still not sure if that is a doggy "hello", or "Alert!!", or some warning, or whatever), she came over and gave a good friendly lick! With the fangs she showed, I was expecting a nibble or a bite for a heart-stopping moment! And then she stayed near for quite a while. That was very good for keeping others away!

I'll try getting some dog nibbles for when she next appears...

Meanwhile, there's quite a mess of admin and bits to clear before making progress again. We're behind on the schedule and that's adding to some of the costs...

And... Re my double booking...

That turned out to be an incomplete story. There was no completed booking! And from the sounds of things, it was a job not entirely wanted... There was nothing actually booked due to nothing having actually being agreed! Very much a disconnect. And one of those occasions that was left 'open ended'...

Far preferable to be clear about things from the outset!

Keep searchin'!

Another river in the air on the way. This one headed a bit more north than the last fire hose to the left coast.. Hopefully it dumps some meters of white on the summer water grounds.

At least the rain waited until I finished off my yard, but there could be a bit more to come yet.

Cheers.

Hey! We have roads as part of the rivers and streams and extra drainage! All this extra sogginess is quite irksome...

... And suspiciously we have yet more mist and grey and a mere hint of a Constable-esq pastel blurred sun...

And tidying up from yesterday and, one stark realization is... No allowance was made for thinking time. Or any time for communication. Also no allowance was made for any practicalities like admin, logistics, food, drink!...

Hence, we really do need to allocate double the time for these out-of-the-blue random occasion type jobs that require... Thinking and thoughtfulness to make good the job! Especially so when there's pretty much only me doing the thinking... (I did have some help from three others, but thought and thinking was still required to coherently 'bolt' the bits together...)

And we 'winged it'... Almost Boeing style!!

Final checking was brief and swift/rushed. Some minor bits were missed and only one mistake - fortuitously all trivial/minor.

Note that no people are at risk of death from that particular piece of work... Although it might cause a few headaches!

I've now some thinking time over a good brew and a healthy snack to consider whether or not all that was good fun or not...

How many more grey hairs?

The upper left coast is very wet and windy at sea level and the mountains are getting heavy snow and high winds.

The temp is 66F outside and the scale is on the way to my home via FedEx instead of USPS, the low was 44.

I still have to talk to my Doctor, the last 3 times I tried I got hung up on,,,
I think the injections are helping since my jeans are much looser.

My car seems to be doing better as it had 53 miles on the battery, which is 1 mile more
than on Dec 5th 2023 when I took delivery of my car, this had gone down to as low as 43 miles
before coming back up.

After a foggy 15C (felt like 16C) start here the sun is now shining brightly while a tropical 29C is expected before that wet stuff returns.

At least I don't have to water my veggies this morning, but I do need to drain 400L out of my fast fill IBC again so that it'll be prepared for another dump.

Anyhow it's time for another caffeine hit while I contemplate doing very little today.

Cheers.

Good news: The vive scale is here and it works, plus the scale came with 3 AAA batteries that can be eliminated asap, I have a usb kit for that just waiting.
Bad - news: The vive scale says 445lbs on the scale, meanwhile the app says 207.1lbs.

I was at 467lbs previously.
