Well... What a day... And I don't think anyone is happy...

There is silliness with a critical someone who "doesn't do detail"... We had another someone faint/pale/delirious and near collapse due to lack of water (amazing how three glasses of water and a cup of tea brought them round, and their colleagues were oblivious-don't-complain)... Another critical one is crying off with stress and overload of Commitments... And another claimed a quote for some equipment that when checked was x10 not in our favour...! Everyone is very grumpy about that one!!

There's other time critical 'fun' that must be done tomorrow ready for Thursday...

And...

I've just had a stroppy call about the inconvenience of a comms link not working and the dire consequences for them... At the moment I'm silly too far away to dash over to look at that... Food desert 'n' all that... Later in the call they finally admitted to "knocking the dish antenna off" but they did try to (randomly) put it back again...

And additionally, we have some (clueless) self-proclaimed 'experts' explaining how everything 'should' be. You might have plucked better out of a football crowd!


All good fun!

Well at least I got 5.5hrs of sleep in last night which is much better than the 3-4hrs that I've been getting of late and so long as I don't straighten myself up I can get around ok, but as soon as I do straighten up then I'm in pain and trouble.

It looks like I'll have to do another pumpkin harvest tomorrow morning as it could be too wet to do it until after the weekend and cumulonimbus clouds are already building up here, though they likely dump their load elsewhere, and the temp here is now at a very muggy 21C (feels like 23C) on our way to an expected 25C with a chance of showers and storms later on.

I also topped up my thirsty capsicums and what was pea sized fruit yesterday are now "Chupa-Chup" size this morning. I may have to start topping their water up 3 times a day. :-O

Anyhow it's time for my last coffee of the morning before I go and deliver some more butternuts about the place and enjoy a beer or 3 up at the pub.

If that is the case then I'm suffering from my extreme Neanderthal age this last week (I know that I'm old, but I'm not that old as yet, even if I'm feeling like a bent over 90yr old ATM).

Anyhow, it must be time for a feed before I think about feeding Dog, watering veggies and popping some more horse tablets.

Lets see I have 3 Neanderthal traits, dense strawberry blond hair with a hairline of a teenager,
none of it is white or thinning like my dad had at 63, pale skin, and O negative blood.

I just refilled the cats 3 bowls with an 18lb bag, I think lifting Chitty has helped, a 28lb bag of litter doesn't seem too heavy now, one 18lb bag is on the shelf.

I think the 4.5mg shots of Trulicity is helping me to lose weight, on Wednesday I have to go get my mail and I think I'll head into town and use the scale there.

The tire saga continues, One user reported online that Firestone's Champion Fuel Fighter tires gave him/her(don't know which really) 6.3 miles per Kilowatt, the tires come in the sizes that I need too. Plus there is a tire installer in Barstow CA too, of course they're H rated and mounting is $21.99 per tire. All for $725.79 currently, I will go for that, but first the water heater at $135.44 plus a plumber as I need one water heater removed as well as a water softener which adds salt to the water table and I can't do that here.

$637.83+87.96=$725.79

For both minus a plumber that might be $861.23 since prices do change and one of the tire sizes says it might go up.

The 36lbs of dry cat food and 28lbs of litter and cat brush came today, the box was a bit damp thanks to 0.52" of rain today, I also washed the dishes, I must be feeling somewhat better.

Rich people's EV's. I'm putting Firestone's on mine, yes I pass gasoline pumps everytime I drive,
I just uninstalled Gas Buddy as it's not needed anymore, It's replacement PlugShare is still on my phone.


It's a nice plucky car, tires change as does technology.
It has two modes, Eco and Sport, plus traction control, I've yet to do more than flip the switches yet.

After a difficult start, the afternoon worked very well.

I'll admit to being in a quandary as to where all this will lead and how soon...

We've had some quite stern meetings towards the end of the day... Will tomorrow be 'just another day' or will we see 'improvements'?...

Oh... Some of the roads around here have only recently opened from floods, and I've had to do quite a lot of paddling through their remains and lingering wet bits. There's still a silly amount of run-off pooling up or turning them into rivers rather than roads. Very glad the vehicle air intake is nicely out of the way high up. Meanwhile, one of our drivers had a one hour detour to reverse out of a flooded road. Very glad they had the good sense to reverse out!


Hey ho!

... And I've still managed to avoid the stomach deadly greasy batter heavy fish 'n' chips... (The emergency healthy rations hamper is holding up well!)

My last time on my scale said 477lbs before the scale quit and then said 499lbs, today I went to RiteAid to get my weight and the scale there said 467lbs, so I've lost 10lbs.

I was going to get the blood sample that the Doctor wanted, but the office had closed at 3pm, I'll try again tomorrow before my car insurance cancels.

Yeah AAA wants $100 by the 24th which I won't have until the 1st or my car insurance gets canceled, trying to catch up is hard to do...

AAA even stated I'd be reported if I didn't pay up, I have no money at all and it's like "you must have some money, gimme, gimme, gimme"...

sigh...

Mine was taken out automatically. I need to catch up and they just want the money NOW so that everything will be on time.

I don't even have $30 for groceries, it's only 5 days and during that time the car won't be driven out of the park.

Well gee we can do it monthly here, but with my 2 old girls it's just cheaper to go for bash for bash these days as I just have to avoid idiots as well as hoping that they do have insurance.

But I would love a limited slip diff in the wagon and then I could sell off the sedan, but the sedan can pull a trailer load of firewood out in the bush where the wagon would be left spinning a wheel even with its greater ride height clearance (yes I know and my trailer has the marks to prove that it has being pushed by 4x4's before to get out of slushy situations towing a load out with the wagon).

It's getting close to time to meet the boys out on the block for another load very soon as well as we shouldn't be too far anyway from our autumn change now and I like my firewood nice and dry by then.

Anyhow we've exceeded our expected max for today with the mercury hitting a steamy 27C (26C was expected) as those dark clouds build up again, but that doesn't mean that we'll get wet here.

Well... The weather is cool and fine but we've had another grumpy start... There's an 'unwillingness' with the motley crew here to 'get real'... They sort of get some of the ideas, but seem not bothered to join all the bits together. Cue Roman Trireme overseers needed with their whips and chains...?

After some weeks of silliness, at least I've discovered that one piece of equipment significantly isn't working to spec, which in turn makes everything else more difficult for everyone... I have been suspicious for a while but only got the chance to check just now. Unfortunately, that's outside my expertise to fix. And I ain't going to make any guesses on that one! (The 'quick fix' seems 'obvious', but I'm very aware there are other parameters acting up... Is this the real cause? Or nothing more than one of multiple consequences?...)

At least I have a clear run this afternoon to make progress, or at least catch up with orders and plans and keeping things working.
