Now to see how long we stay up for this time.

Anyhow we hit a steamy 26C here today and I'm hoping that my soggy jungle yard will be able to handle a mower on it tomorrow before the heat turns up again.

Cheers.

I went to Sam’s Club yesterday. Did a little bulk food shopping. Going to have a few chicken tacos tonight for dinner. Bought a couple of cooked $5.00 rotisserie chickens and deboned them. I have a 12 cup sealed container full. What I don’t use is going in the freezer in vacuum sealed bags. Yum. :-)

I'm calling it an end to my Hump Day so that I can prepare for another Thorsday.

Cheers.

Pineapple Express is coming my way.
Comfortable temps but it's wet. Ground is soaked already. We expect over an inch where I live today. Much more in the foothills.

Posting on a Thorsday morning before the heat sets in again.

It's time for a coffee before I do a yard inspection to see if the ground has firmed up enough to mow.

Cheers.

After 2hrs and 9 very heavy catcher loads I got nearly the whole backyard done on a high cut and hopefully that'll let the yard dry a bit quicker so that I can do a proper cut on it tomorrow or the next day.

Anyhow it's time to go and pay another bill up at the post office and I'll drop in at the pub on the way back for 2-3 lagers.

Cheers.

Arriving here in the overnight. Of more concern is the followup arriving Sunday and not leaving any time soon.

We need the water. Just in solid form in the mountains.

Here's how to make Fresh Water from Salt water, inexpensively...

Water is evaporated and the vapor or steam goes thru a membrane and any salts and solids stay behind...

LTTD consists of distilling at low temperatures by lowering the working pressure and making the most of low-grade heat sources (either natural or artificial) to evaporate water and then condensate it at a cooler heat sink. To perform the process, an external heat source is needed that provides the latent heat of evaporation and a temperature gradient to maintain the distillation cycle. Depending on the available temperature gradient, several stages can be implemented, leading to a multi-stage device. The cool steam device can thus be single or multi-stage, being raw water fed to every stage from the top and evaporated in contact with the warmer surface within the said stage. Acting as a heat carrier, the water vapor travels to the cooler surface and condensates in contact with it.

Pineapple was wild overnight. Had gusts over 50 mph. It's still to dark to see much but I expect there will be water puddles a plenty. Currently 52f with light rain. Expecting it to stop soon.

We've reached 30C (feels like 29C) here while it's 25C (feels like 23C) inside my wind tunnel so I'll stay in it for a while longer.

Cheers.

Busy busy busy busy...

... And I've just had a desperate plea to pack extra food supplies to take over into that certain remote area... Are my healthy ways percolating across to the others over there?! (Shame we can't take online shopping food deliveries for that site!! ... On second thoughts... I've had some scary slides skating across the mud... Wouldn't want to see the delivery van driver getting sacrificed!)
