The gritters are out... As are the brightly cold stars in the ink black sky. By 'eck it's already chilly. There's going to be a hard frost... And some sheet ice... For it is foretold in this quiet wet cold darkness before Dawn arises! Yay!! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Today I went and got my 3rd shot for Covid19 at RiteAid, plus I also got a Flu shot, and a shot against RSV too, he asked my age, I said I’m 63, I still don’t look old enough, women say I look like I’m 35-45, go figure. I have strawberry blond hair with a teenagers hairline and no gray hair, I also sound younger too, but I wish I felt that way… The scale at RiteAid said I weigh 472lbs, I will take my 3.0mg shot of Trulicity asap. I also went and retrieved the mail and got yelled at for it(It was her mail, she refuses to get her own box), and I did my food shopping for the month all without a recharge until I got home. It took me 2 trips to get 7 bags of food inside, the 3rd trip was to repark the car and plug it in. I still have $52.99 on Calfresh(snap) too. All of the food is put away too. Amazon via UPS is sending 12 Boxes of Cereal here to me, I had $249.00, not anymore, that should do for a month as I'm buying less food now. I didn't flinch, but then I have a good amount of aspirin and acetaminophen in me, so I felt no pain, all 3 shots went in my left arm as I sat on a stool, the chair had arms I'm still too wide for the chair. Earlier I had vacuumed the vents on the TV, as it was resetting itself, I need to try again with the crevice tool to complete the job. Well my day went to plan and hopefully tomorrow will as well and I get the front yard and laneway done before the rain hits. Anyhow that's the end of my Sunday. Cheers. |

Well... No surprise that I missed Dawn. Which is also good as nothing was untoward to have me see Dawn. And yes, we have a hard frost shining brightly anywhere and everywhere still shadowed. And the day is beautifully bright with an idyllic clear blue sky. I've got a good window of opportunity to detour to grab some healthy food for the week. Still forgot mi kimchi and not found anywhere around here selling such 'exotica' for this 'desert' area... Rather pleased that a combination of kefir, yogurt, kimchi, and keeping off the UPF cereals, and just merely normal exercise/activities, has already worked off the Christmas excesses. Excellent! Enjoy!! Be excellent to one another! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Reno looks lovely after a snowfall. I was up here Friday, my daughter came up also to visit one of her friends. She got stuck in the snow. I had to go and free her. I love snow, even when I have to crawl under trucks to install chains. Should be clear later. Reno is 17f and sunny now. |

Posting on a Monday morning as some sunshine starts to break through the clouds. We got off to a 15C start here this morning while 26C is expected before rain returns. Anyhow I just need the dew to dry so that I can finish the mowing before that rain gets here. In the meantime I might as well get a 2nd coffee in before watering my veggies again. Cheers. |

The veggies have been watered, long hoses have been attached to my 2 IBC's, the rest of the yard has been mowed and as the sky out west gets darker I better head around to the post office to pay a bill before enjoying a few beers at the pub on the way back without getting wet. We're now up to a muggy 22C (feels like 23C) as the easterly breeze starts to swing to the NW. Cheers. |

Getting ready to finish my shopping before the rain shows up here. It is cold outside. And getting colder. Come tomorrow I’m going to have to have another talk with management once again about the furnace not working. They gave me a space heater and I have to say it works way better than I thought it would. I set the temperature for 75°f and it does it. Now I want to shrink my carbon footprint namely my electric bill. So I will have to remind management and tell them to please have it fixed before there is snow on the ground. |

I'm the black sheep of this establishment enjoying a pint of Black Sheep out of the way in a quiet side room. There's the screems and chants and tinny commentary of some football match spewing in here from the main area that has multiple TVs festooned all around the walls. Still, this is the best refuge for a Monday evening out in this frosty cold dark desert. At least things are drying out after the rains. We now have patchy frost on frost instead. And all goes smoothly and quietly thus far. Would be good to see better/faster progress. Unfortunately, there is a lot of 'new' learning and 'new' ways needed by almost all there. All too long hidden and neglected. At least we're now keeping the equipment better tuned and better fed so as to not suffer further silliness or damage... Patience and persuasion needed to gently overcome some long old pride and some lax and lazy ways... Posting after a wet 250km road trip and arriving home to a very muggy 22C (feels like 24C) as the sun decided to pop out for a little bit here. Time now for a couple of driver revivers before lunch. Cheers. |

Overcast and Breezy 29°F/-2°C Wind Speed W 23 G 35 mph Wind Chill 15°F (-9°C) I’m staying indoors for the foreseeable future. I can hear the wind blowing outside. I bet the wind turbine generators are making plenty of electricity. |
