I got another early start outside again this morning and after 3.5hrs out there the temp had hit 27C (felt like 28C), but I'd had enough done to do me for the day so it's time for a few beers in 22C (feels like 19C) comfort. The mercury here has just hit the 29C mark (feels like 30C) out there so it's very likely going to get hotter unless those expected storms pop up out of nowhere. At least I finished my anti-bird cage enough to keep those thieving sparrows away from my lettuce. Anyhow I better get that beer. ;-) Cheers. |

Ah, testing Seti Beta and keep this on the QT but the RAC rule is not being enforced on the Astropulse forum. Just info for those of us with the green bar. |

Posting on a warm and muggy Tuesday morning in the highland before at least 7 days of rain arrives. Anyhow as usual it's time for a coffee. Cheers. |

Warming up as the furnace is on, it's 60F outside after a low of 45, 23% chance of rain here w/9% on Tuesday and 17% on Wednesday, but to the south there be clouds. Today I get to drive into town and pickup my mail and pay for a new key to my mail box, there goes $25... Yep it's shocking. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Just enjoying another coffee as the sunshine breaks through the mist after a misty and muggy 17C (felt like 18C) start here with 26C being expected before the change hits (it's about 200km away now) while currently it's already 19C (feels like 21C). Anyhow I just closed up upstairs where I can enjoy my coffee in 21C (feels like 17C) wind tunnel comfort (I've got the box fan on 2 this morning instead of 1). Cheers. |

Hopefully yer electrics aren't that bad?! The car can't do more than 3.3Kw or so far 12 amps out of 20 @ 116v, default charging rate is 8 amps, an increase to 240v will cut in half the charging time from at most 12 hours to 6hrs, but so far that's it as an increase is many months away, the power is still on and everything is going as experience says it should. Well I got the dishes done, the downpipe fitted back to the IBC behind the shop, cleaned up the mess of steel parts from 2 sets of Tilt-a-Door hinging setups scattered over the shed's floor and with this filtered sunlight keeping my metalwork area at the front of the shed much cooler I cut off the usable mounting plates from all 4 to finish off a long delayed project, but I do have a growing scrap steel pile again for other future projects as well as 2 x 4 sets of funny hinges that may come in handy 1 day for something. We're now at a muggy 24C with high thin cloud with an underlay of smoke cutting the sunshine and heat down and thankfully the lite breeze is allowing that smoke rise well before it gets here so we're not getting the smell of smoke. I also didn't water my veggies this morning as I gave them a very water yesterday evening due to this oncoming rain event and it looks like I'll get in a 3 beer LLB in up at the pub before that starts. Anyhow I better get out of this metalworking gear of mine and into something a bit more respectable as I can hear a beer calling for me. ;-) Cheers. |

60F here, low of 45, predicted high of 67. Mortar on granite, then I beams, just to build a roof, glad it's not my place. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Posting on a heavily overcast Hump Day in the highlands while enjoying a coffee and thinking about what to do 1st today. We got off to another muggy 17C start here while 24C is expected along with showers, rain and thunderstorms. Cheers. |

It always does. Unless you are doing something really boring. |

Plus the older you get the faster it flies and those boring bits seem to stretch out further. :-( That's probably why I always like to have projects going. ;-) I could be outside ATM cutting pieces of steel plate for another project of mine, but I decided to start another beer brew instead this morning as the mercury is moving very slowly under this heavily overcast sky which has just made it to 18C. Cheers. |

In 2 hours my car will be ready to go out again, going to Ghost Town Rd from my home takes 10 miles, yet only 5 miles from Ghost Town Rd to my home, the actual distance? 2.5 miles. Next time I need to go down Calico Rd to Yermo Rd, turn right and head to Ghost Town Rd, to see if that route is closer to level, I know the overpass on Calico Rd that goes over the 15 fwy doesn't use much. How much battery do I have vs stock? Today 11.82Kw or 50 miles. Stock 19.40Kw or 82 miles. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
