Also, I don't think the others in the area would be happy with the change in 'ambience', let alone learning sign language or lip reading!!...

Oh dear, fussy neighbours :-(

It's a fine sunny day here also. With frost as thick as snow!

And the 'local area' is local as in the poor sods in that area on the other side of an all too thin partition!... Then again... They are somewhat noisy themselves for their activities...

Hey Wiggo: What's the celebrations? New brew??

Enjoy!

Only celebrating getting most of my yard mowed Martin and I hope that the weather will allow me to get my little front yard done before we endure a couple of more days of rain.

Cheers.

Working on a car salesman to get my paperwork done by txt...
And to attach said paperwork to my car so that it will be ready to transport 431 miles.

Ah yes the car is now just another appliance to be plugged into shore power, like a Navy Ship or a Container Ship.

I grabbed these before the Carfax ad went and imploded w/a big KABOOM!!

Winning on a P.O.E.T.S. Day morning as the sky brightens before sunrise occurs.

Time for a coffee.

Cheers.

And the low laying sun goes down...

And I'm back in the food desert...

And, yuck!

So... We called into a shack of a "Trade" cafe for lunch. It's won awards in the area it has... So... The waitress hadn't heard of "Vegetarian" and wasn't going to bother with such silliness at any time. What could possibly go wrong with bangers and mash or pie (with dubious innards) and peas?... I managed a cop-out with baked potato and (bits yanked outta tin) tuna and salad. The other greasy-joe offerings didn't appeal. The others just tucked into chips + whatever.

Onsite and... Some there really are unaware to even be able to speak coherently. Thankfully, they are one or two levels above 'every second word is an expletive'... But still hard work to usefully communicate with. Lots of time lost with people dreamlike lost wandering without any hint of enthusiasm... What pit of stagnation is this?!...

And... The people there are so unhealthy as to be unable to move easily. Which also means they immediately get grumpy about anything involving movement... I got some uncomfortable looks whilst (in comparison, gazelle-llike) breezing around and past them.

In short: Very difficult working.

And how can the food there be so unhealthy impoverished?!!

I'm doing the extra detour run tomorrow to get healthy provisions!

And we really do need better education all round.

Yes I could do with a 2nd coffee about now thanks Betreger. :-)

The sun has finally risen above the clouds off the coast and shining brightly down, I just hope that it dries the grass out front quickly so that I can quickly get that job out of the way this morning so that more normal Friday activities can be enjoyed. ;-)

The temp here today got off to an 11C (felt like 10C) start here while a windy 26C is expected before more rain and storms return.

Cheers.

My car is coming, yippee! The car should be here maybe by Dec 2nd, they are picking the car up on Friedday...

Food Desert meet Mojave Desert, meep, meep!

Yeah we have actual RL Road Runners out here, no sign of Wile E Coyote of course...

Yep I live in both, food is 13 miles from here, mail is 2.5 miles, and charging is 0.8 miles away or when I get a few more parts in just outside my door, as is the Mojave Desert.

The cloud is closing in again here as the mercury hits 25C (feels like 21C) and as soon as I parked the mower and was getting out of this week's yard gear visitors started to turn up.

But after a few beers I managed to get up to the pub for a pizza and 2 more beers and while the beers are history a few slices are about to follow them (well it should be cool enough by now to safely consume without burns). ;-)

Cheers.

Make sure that all your body parts make it back inside if you go out in that people-sicle weather.

Or you could wind up like this fellow. :-O

A world champion runner-up has sent a chilling warning about his sport after suffering the worst injury you can experience.

Keep them warm. ;-)

Cheers.

... Yes... And nose and toes and finger ends and ears and lips...

Nowhere near balaclava-freezing-to-your-face but certainly chilly outside yer fleece. This is where I do wonder about some of the others walking back from the pub across hills and fields and frozen streams... And there's a quirky dead spot around here where there are no usable mobile signals. Hopefully the "emergency only" boosted signal service really does work if needed...

Meanwhile, nicely thawed out with a pint of hot coffee and...

We have glorious sunshine. And an incredible thick frost that is resisting the sun's rays.

Enjoy!
