The mercury here reached 13C (felt like 9C) and I'm again ready for all this rain that they reckon should be here later tomorrow.

Anyhow I just have to feed Dog before I get a spinal reset in before watching the deciding day of the 2nd test match in England (if it lasts long).

Cheers.

Autumn, yeah the temp is 106F outside now, 82 inside, low of 78, this morning the temp was 80 outside. It's nice having 2"x6" walls and that are dimensionally true @ 2"x6" as they're not planed in any way...

We've enjoyed a spectacular sight of some really bright Rays of Buddha.

That presaged a rather cooler damp waft of air to roll across here...

Hey! Bring back our summer!

Pumping DHMO out of the ground altered the Earths tilt, link... Water is heavy, who knew... slosh, slosh...

Now, scientists have found that a significant amount of the polar drift results from human activity: pumping groundwater for drinking and irrigation.
“The very way the planet wobbles is impacted by our activities,” says Surendra Adhikari, a geophysicist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and an expert on Earth’s rotation who was not involved in the study. “It is, in a way, mind boggling.”

It's 1 very dull day here in the highlands as we wait for the rain to turn up, but I can get a couple of coffees in before it gets here.

Cheers.

This corner of the upper left coast is topping out in the low 80s with 37 per cent humidity and no wild fire smoke another pleasant day.

From a 6C (felt like 3C) start here we're now at 11C (feels like 8C) with 12C being expected here, but surprise surprise it's actually colder in Alice Springs today with just 10C being expected there.

Anyhow I've finished my last chores getting ready for all this rain that they reckon that we'll get so now it's LLB time and then I'm going to try and get my body clock back where it should be.

Cheers.

The outside temp is now 109F and the high was 111, it's 84 at my desk.

The fire gutted French Chateau de Chaumont is still being rebuilt, right now at least on youtube he's cutting beams for I think what is the 2nd floor.

I am in the Sierra's avoiding the heat. Well trying to. It's still in the 80's even with snow still on the ground.

Meanwhile in the highlands down under we're off to warm, but soggy, 9C (felt like 8C) here with a just as soggy 12C being expected.

I guess that doing a trip into town is about all I'll get done here today.

Anyhow it's now coffee time.

Cheers.

Emptied my storage locker out. Now I have more stuff than I know what to do with. Just going to have to sort out what stays and goes. Made a trip to the local Habitat for Humanity. I donated my old bed and dresser and a headboard. The bed is a low platform style with three pullout drawers. The headboard has a shelf inset just above mattress height then a flat top with a decorative retainer curb so stuff don’t fall off the edges. The dresser is four drawers with two half height side by side drawers on top. The set is solid real wood with masonite panels on the bottoms drawers and dresser back. All stained in a honey maple color.

Edit: I forgot about a double matted and framed print I picked up a number of years back. This is a picture of it without the mat and frame.

Well it's still soggy here after my trip into town and few driver revivers at the pub while the temp here is now at 11C (feels like 9C) as I think about a bite to eat.

Cheers.
