Well, down to only one wild animal that lives in the vicinity I haven't laid eyeballs on. That being the puma. Just saw a black bear taking a stroll across a street. He used the crosswalk too. Hit the high beams and waited for him to cross. Until you see one up close and realize they are the size of a VW beetle and likely weigh the same ... |

All things bright and beautiful... And we have about two days now of no complaints. The decoupling capacitors fix #1 and #2 look to be holding up well despite the high heat. Keep those bits a-movin'! Roll on!! High-low! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

My body is sore again. River rafting is great this year. It's June and the rivers are as high as ever. American River last week, Yuba River yesterday. |

Take a break from bouncing over rocks for a while Carlos. ;-) I must say that I finally got a day in without the old sciatica giving me grief, but I did take it pretty easy today, though that may change when I get back into the pruning. Anyhow I better get back to the women's Ashes. Cheers. |

Certainly that sort of day - a nice long cool drink with the chink of ice in the glass is needed. (But antibiotics would get object). Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

We're back to hot and steamy. And the capacitors fixes look to have made a complete fix. This is now multiple days and no complaints... Good reliability is very worthwhile! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

15100 Btu a/c here, 80F at my desk, 77-78 in the rest of the house, 88 outside where it's Sunny and predicted to get to 94/64. Asap I need to replace my box spring as 4 wood slats have collapsed from the metal support, the Zinus box spring touts 700lb weigh capacity, yet it breaks after 2 years @ 472lbs (June 18th 2021-June 24th 2023)... There goes about $162 next month, the slats are broken, the metal support which was not reinforced either collapsed or broke, opening it up to see what exactly happened would mean taking most of my bed apart. First it was 2 slats to the right of the 1 that is outlined on the left, then 2 more to the right of the 2 here, it was a sudden drop in both cases. I use to have a problem with beds always bowing in the middle until I built my own Vic, I'm 265lbs, and my mates reckon that you could park a truck on it (but I won't put that to that test). 2"x1" steel frame. Finished job. All it cost me was for 2 lengths of 2"x1" RHS, 2 sheets of 1/2" ply and a roll of MIG wire, the rest was made from an old set of double bunks and other stuff that I had hoarded over the years. Though I'm almost out of stuff to recycle here so I'm getting into scrounging now for my projects and the tip has provided me with some useful stuff for my next project, a 3-4 bay composting setup. Anyhow I'm just waiting for it to warm up outside so that I can go out and replace the cheap wrapping plastic frost protection over my little wicking tubs with the proper stuff before these winds shred it so I might as well get another coffee in. Yes, I have larger wicking tubs on the way for spring. [edit] The images are rather large so please don't image tag them. ;-) Cheers. |

Your split liquid container is something I see all the time a work. They ship latex and neoprene rubber in them to us. |

Your split liquid container is something I see all the time a work. They ship latex and neoprene rubber in them to us.My 2 new 1's come from a concrete plant where 1 had a waterproofing additive in it (smells just like PVA glue) and the other contained a quickset agent which I'm still waiting for enough rain to fall to finish flushing them out (both are temporarily hooked up to downpipes). Others that you can get around here have had honey, molasses or a myriad of other farm chemicals in them. Anyhow I just finished replacing the plastic, so that'll be quieter in the wind now, and I'm about to fool around with a tape measure out there for a while just to fill in the time before it's LLB time. ;-) It might be 12C (feels like 8C) out there, but it's a lot warmer where I'm working in the sun and out of the breeze as another layer of insulation gets removed from 1's self to cope.. Cheers. |
