Mars has no calendar, though 7 have been proposed since 1936 to 2022, so hump day there, doesn't exist yet.

My UPS has been flickering quite a bit today with the storm. Lots of tornados have been trying to spin up. A few have made it to the ground.

Keep your hard hat ready Admiral. ;-)

Well I got a basic chicken and veggie soup started and it's now resting before I decide what else to add to it besides a small butternut.

Anyhow it's now lunchtime for me. ;-)

Cheers.

I`m glad we don`t get tornados in bavaria.

I still think the references to the Kerbal Space Program were the best to come out in the last few hours.

btw - Am I the only person to think that the rocket looked remarkably like a product of the KSP??

Weather is scary at times. I finally got to see my storage locker yesterday. I am happy it survived the tornado in February. The roll up door was still in good condition. The lockers on both sides lost their doors. The sheet rock inside my locker took a beating but is mostly okay. My stuff is just as I left it but dustier. So I am okay with it. I have to check back with my stepmom. They lost electrical service Wednesday evening with the storm. I want to know if they have had service restored. I am not to worried about it. My dad bought a petrol generator a few years ago to cover the basics (i.e. lights, fans, water, refrigerator and freezer).

Just some typical tornado season weather. I expect more to come. I’m hoping the next big storm is not a bad as this one.

Well... That finished off on an interesting note...

Back here on down-to-earth terrafirma and mud and a gazillion bits of data and control signal cables and...

We've unraveled a bit of an anomaly.

The "bodge-it" fix was a quick "swap the cables over to reverse the X-Y operation" and "all will be fine again"...

Except... Why are the cables marked for the opposite sense?

... And now, newly, we have two other routes through to control that equipment digitally... So, really, "which way is which" to avoid some irksome embarrassment?

I'll admit that doing a quick "just swap the cables over" was very tempting...

Instead... Let's set up a test to check all of the controls through each section?... But that's going to take too much time?...

Well, I won that argument, despite the Friday afternoon, and... Lo! We've uncovered one cable that has either been marked up wrong or wired wrong in the first place.

That was a very good find and a good relief to gain understanding to put in a fix which will consistently work!

Rechecking the tests was easy and very good that reality is oncemore exactly as should be expected.

Beers soon!

Well that's the final touches done to my soup I started yesterday and the brewroom is ready to be a brewroom again so I'm now going to have another coffee break before getting some more work done outside.

Cheers.
