Gently into Monday with the first operatives of the day rolling up sometime-ish late morning. Good to enjoy an extra brew or two and to properly have a chance to read all the documentation beforehand for a change!

I scooped out each of the top tyres on both potato stacks and with half a wheelbarrow load of fresh compost and a good few hand fulls of dynamic lifter mixed all together I got a 2 tyre stack ready to get going again tomorrow. By then the worms should've dropped down in the original stacks to remove another tyre off each while collecting potatoes (I hope) and get a 2nd stack started.

Anyhow I hope to have things inside cooled down enough to finally bottle that beer brew that I should've done this morning tomorrow morning before doing anything else so I better get to bed.

Cheers.

Today is clothes washday, after 2 loads in the washer, and combined into 1 load in the dryer, it's now done, now if only the flu drainage would also be done too.

I was planning on doing that tomorrow morning, but I'll have to make that my Saturday morning task now.

I was able to keep my brewroom below 25C and hopefully I maybe able to get rid of 3-4C of that.

Anyhow it's cool down time for me and all those bottles before they all need rinsing and priming.

Cheers.

Went to my dad’s house last weekend. My stepmom took another soft tumble in the bathroom. My dad and me are not quite able to get her out of the floor. So my dad had to call in some extra muscle. A.K.A. The fire department. He explained he just needed help getting his wife out of the floor. They sent three men out in a pickup. They just stood her up in nothing flat. She was good to go for the rest of the day.

Have you thought about getting a personal lift hoist Admiral (it looks like a light weight engine hoist with a sling)?

Well the brewroom is ready to go again in the morning and I ran out of daylight before I could finish with my veggies, but that will give me something else to do tomorrow.

Now to start thinking about dinner.

Cheers.

Sunshine to shine upon another change of plans due to an unexpected "engineering event"... Hopefully no bionics have been damaged...

Getting much less congestion in my chest, two cups in my bedroom and one at my desk to spit into.

I don't even have a fever anymore.

What a beautiful warm summertime day!

Unfortunately, one of our engineers went for a tumble yesterday when overusing his strength and reach beyond what the ladders he was using could take. His own weight likely had the circumstances out of spec to begin with...

Nothing human bones broken but today has been rearranged somewhat...

One wrong moment and bang goes multiple days!

I'm just enjoying my 3rd coffee for the morning after finishing up in the brewroom.

Once that's done it's back into my yard gear and finish off what I ran out of light doing yesterday evening. I may have to consider putting a light out there.

But at least it's cool and overcast out there.

Cheers.

I have a feeling that I'm going to be a bit stiff and sore tomorrow after today's yard work, but I got the job done while learning just how well my compost guru retains moisture and how little the old dry veggie bed can suck can suck it out of it and as a result my 1st try at growing potatoes in tyres was a failure so for this next lot there are more drainage holes in the tyres and I just won't water them unless they look stressed while working out an umbrella for each stack during rain.

It's also the likely reason why my mad butternut vines are pumping out fruit like crazy and my wicking tubs are working so well that I can't keep up with what they produce. I'll also have to start putting the wicking tubs together for the northern side of the shed now as the sun is moving back to that side of it at this time of year.

I've also got to make a move on putting together a proper 3 bay composting setup as having 2 large mounds in the middle of the backyard to mow around is getting to be a problem.

Anyhow I might start thinking about having a feed as I watch the last of the daylight fade away.

Cheers.

I guess that the sooner that I get to bed to sooner I'll find out how stiff and sore I'll feel tomorrow.

Cheers.
