We only got to 23C (felt like 20C) today (25C was the forecast) before Thor decided to dance around above us here and he's still hanging about the area. At least I won't have to water the veggies today, but I do wish that the big fellow will quit disturbing the mains power. Cheers. |

I'm just enjoying the pitter patter of raindrops on the roof without all the banging and crashing that was going on earlier. Anyhow I might try an early night for a change and see how that goes. Good luck at the doctors Mike. Cheers. |

After an inch of rain the yard fared very well this time with all the drains working very well and I got a bit more yard work done before the sun decided to stop hiding behind the clouds, but whether we get to our expected max of 24C is yet to be seen as it's only 17C (feels like 13C) at present. So I'm going to enjoy this coolness while it lasts as high 20's and low 30's are back tomorrow. Anyhow it's time for some lunch before doing anything else. Cheers. |

Maybe somewhere on the i69 fwy somewhere in one of 10 segments in 7 states. It's 50F with a low of 29 predicted and very windy @ 31-43mph here. And asap I need to buy a new keyboard as I almost can't see the keys on this one without a light over the keyboard. Next month I'm putting 50% down on a single hung bathroom window that'll take about 6-8 weeks to be completed. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

We've made it to 22C (feels like 20C) here, but where that other 2C is going to come from I don't know. Cheers. |

And asap I need to buy a new keyboard as I almost can't see the keys on this one without a light over the keyboard. I have a at least 15 year old keyboard and the keys look sharp and very readable. I also like the fact that it is not a silent keyboard. At normal typing speed. You can hear the keys being punched. |

Totally bemused for the weather here: It's a different season each hour! Meanwhile, just had the shock of a big parcel from Shenzhen China arriving surprisingly early... We were expecting it to be literally shipped. The parcel looks like it was well wrapped up and waterproofed for shipping. And then it got an extra shipping label stuck on top to send it over by Etihad airfreight... Hope we're not paying for the airfare for that! Anyhow, the rest of the week is going to be a fun installation of a big cooling fan. Hey ho, so what? Mundane or what??... Except... This is a beautiful direct drive mains DC motor driven cooling fan rather than the more normal noisy clunky bang bang ecky-thump hum broken bearings antique induction motor fans that make more noise than air movement. The new silence (or reduced noise) is to be tested ASAP! (Here's hoping this thing does work... It's my rather unorthodox idea...) And asap I need to buy a new keyboard as I almost can't see the keys on this one without a light over the keyboard. It's the leds in the keyboard that are so dim, my phones flashlight helps light up the keyboard, that and a home made plywood shelf to rest the phone on over my keyboard, most of the keyboard is not under the shelf.
