Successfully dodged multiple red rallying vehicles to find... Really? Only four parking spaces for "visitors"?! And 25% of those spaces are reserved for disabled blue-badge parking... And very dire threatening notices all around elsewhere around the industrial estate screaming not to even think about parking there... Double yellow lines everywhere else (no surprise to stop anyone parking anywhere else there)... Fortunately, I was able to make use of a vacant space. And... The office was very dimly lit, very small, and there was noone there. Mmmm... Tried the door and... It opened! (No alarms went off.) Walks in and, there's definitely noone there... Then, from the corner of my eye I spy a small handwritten post-it note half way up the side wall saying: "Press bell" Ok... Bell push was pushed. There was a tinny ring somewhere in the distance underneath the surrounding cacophony of bangs and clangs... And as if by magic, a jolly postman appeared! And even more magically, he was jolly, service with a smile, and all very efficient and exactly as it should be. Not even a grunt about the heavy parcel. All gently handled even (no stereotypical show-off "it is heavy-slam-bang-thump"!)... Well. I'm very happy to admit that one of my prejudices has been mellowed/muted by an example of perfectly fair service. That leaves just the random inconsistencies seen for the operatives out in the field... It's a cool start here too at 14C (feels like 11C), but the heat will so be on in my brewroom very soon. Time for 1 more coffee before that happens. Cheers. |

After 4.5hrs I'm finally getting my 3rd coffee in while outside it's up to 18C (feels like 14C). Now the yard has me wondering if I should run the mower over it again before the expected rain gets here or wait until after it, but either way I'll have to raise the cut height this time. Anyhow I better get into this coffee. Cheers. |

G'day Bernie, long time no see. I hope that all has been well at your end. It's doesn't look like that rain can't attain this altitude so it was a good idea that I watered my veggies again today as my butternut pumpkin plants explode out of their containers and I try to keep them away from my potato stacks that still have 10 days to go before I start knocking them down and starting the stacks again. I also won't plant so many cos lettuce next time as I can't keep up with plucking the leaves off of 4 so I'll just plant 2 when the sunshine lands on the other side of my shed and it looks like whatever was feasting on my bok choi has left so I may get something out of them after all. I also decided to leave the mowing until tomorrow. Anyhow I'm going to finish this beer and then think about getting something to eat today. Cheers. |

Ooops... I must be getting nesh... By 'eck it felt frigidly frosty chilly this morning! And soon enough, the beautiful sunshine steamed off all the frost. Still... Some oil is again acting more like treacle rather than something a little more fluid... Sunbathing later?! I've an appointment to get 2 shots today, blind fold not needed. Plus I do need to take out the trash and about 6 boxes, drop the rent check off, get my food, and then come home. I'm waiting for information on how much 2 retrofit windows will cost me, besides having to wait 6-8 weeks for delivery and installation. Lava is coming soon, yep 2 lava blocks... More rain this morning. Unfortunately it will turn in snow later. Have to think about going to the store very soon before it gets slick. |

The lava will still be hot... Riddle me this: What is black, white and orange and does not talk... Answer: 3 kitties, 2 are mine and 1 is living here cause her mom's landlord allows only 1 pet... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I just topped up and sealed the brew that I put down yesterday as the excessive yeast farting is over enough to do so and hopefully that rain will stay down on the flat for a few more hours so that I can mow the yard on the cool and overcast day. Anyhow it's time for another coffee. Cheers. |

Well I got the yard here mowed just in time before the rainfall happened. Meanwhile 19C (felt like 18C) was the best that we could do here today. Now as we take a break in it I'll go and feed dog. Cheers. |
