And the same to you all as Dog just reminded me that we're starting off on our 11th year together. Cheers. |

And a Happy New Year to all concerned.... Especially my neighbours After keeping the whole street up with their "music" and loud conversation (shouted as loud as possible), then their fireworks today (long after sunrise) we had the chorus of the large white telephone with much groaning and associated smells which are escaping their house as sometime last night the loo windows got smashed out, or maybe someone suffered a really violent decompression of the bowels? And I've now "inherited" their dog, who has dug under the fence and was sitting quietly by my back door about sunrise. She was looking a bit uncomfortable so I found a bit of string to act as a leash and off we went so she could do her morning ablutions. Business of the day completed I got her back -she refused to go to her own front door, but happily entered my house, headed for the back door, and on "release" she sat by the hoe she'd dug under the fence after she'd "assisted" me in eating a bacon sandwich (I had the bread and a tiny bot of bacon, she had everything else). Lol Carlos. I’ve been guilty of a case of dumping a load of toxic nuclear waste. Especially if I knew who was next to go into the gas chamber. And no absolution was offered to the victims. |

Top marks for giving sanctuary to the poor creature. Lots of people and loud noise doesn't make a good home for a dog. Very enterprising for the Great Escape! Enjoy the quiet whilst they snore off their hang-overs?! Happy New Year!! Enjoy the world of Xen and Buddhism?... Aside and for no connection, enjoy this small piece of Tibet? I'm just waiting for a few things to dry on the sink before I get another beer brew started. Cheers. |

This wasn't the first "garden invasion" she's staged, but it was the most dramatic. At least two previous ones, an on those occasions a bit of bribery with bacon by my neighbours have seen her return with a waggy tail. This time was very much "I'm not going NEAR that house again, never mind into it". Bacon bribes were rejected, physical force nearly cost me a loss of a chunk of arm or leg. So we left her in my garden lurking under the shrubs where she was quietly resting. As the sun set she decided to head home. Last noises from next door were the hole being filled in and much fuss being given to her. All is quiet next door, and I think she's still there, but it's too dark to see if she's repeated her great escape. Well it's about time for me to turn on the heat in my brewroom as the clouds start to clear. Cheers. |

0.27" of rain was dropped in this area, I even saw a poodle on the worn pavement this morning. Current temp is 46F, predicted low is 35. Snow level predicted at 5,000'... I took the plunge. A Vizio 50 inch tv. I maxed the resolution at 4096x2160 for now. I’ll change it back to 1080 later after the new wears off. |

I still need to attach the foot of the stand to my Vizio V555-J01 55" tv, a 2021 model, at Walmart they were on sale. I got the final 2 parts out and put them together as 2 pair, they force the lower part into the top and bottom notches. The bottom of the swivel tv stand w/a 3 outlet & 2 usb power strip. I added some tip over straps, just in case. And since I scored on the price, I bought a 28" Bestisan 60w soundbar with Bluetooth 5.0... That's Sylvester in front of it. That was my Xmas present to me. Sylvester is about a 30lb cat with muscles under that coat, he's slapped a Boxer in the nose. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

My glass was clean, until I poured a couple of beers through it after shoveling another wheelbarrow load of compost out of the pile and finishing topping off my potato stacks. ;-) Anyhow after a brief run of sunshine the mercury here has reached 27C (feels like 25C) and I'm ready for another beer. Cheers. |

After the stars have blinked and twinkled for a few hours, all is now covered in a shimmering white frost. Time to warm up with some toasting of toes and maybe a taste of red wine to celebrate for a good year!... (... Got to finish off the Christmas celebrations food and drink sometime... ;-) ) Enjoy!
