No audio on my pcs 30yr old analog speakers, it's either a cable or the speakers died. Testing reveals no sound, yet shows output, unplugging and plugging the 3.5mm cable says there is some output, just not much, power is on. The speakers cold soldering may have finally bit the dust. Even the drivers are up to date, 3 show nvidia and 1 shows realtek. I updated my win 7 audio and video drivers. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I've had a busy day starting with a trip into town this morning, resetting the new downpipe on the shed's gutter after yesterday's clean out, finally finished perforating all that PVC pipe and doing a few edges around the yard so now I'm ready for a couple of beers. Cheers. |

Soon into a winter wonderland... Full Arctic Gear required and 'street cred' be damned! Survived a good skate across a pool of ice yesterday... So... Somehow workmen missed out on their education about how water freezes?... Also had fun gently opening a door that had frozen hard onto the seals... Now that was a good giggle as I had fully expected the thing to open and was instead left standing holding up some fresh air as my hand pulled off the handle! Not sure who was the more surprised: myself, my colleague, or the door handle! All good fun?!... ;-) See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Cold and windy. Added several 1.5" lines to tie my boat. It still looks like it wants to take off. |

Snow and ice plus added frost to brighten up the darkness... I'm sure it didn't feel this cold this time last year! See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Just about frozen mi nose off!! Mi woolly 'at 'n' gloves worked fine and snug. Except this is all quickly freezing up to need a full woolly balaclava and the Arctic Kit... At least the stars look very pretty as they shine and twinkle and reflect off the frost and ice :-) See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Mmmmm... Frosty stuff... This is feeling like we'll have the mercury solidified some good time before the sunshine wakes up... Meanwhile, the stars shine brightly in a crystal clear night sky and laugh with their beautiful shimmering... After 4hrs of effort with a homemade manual path edger all my yard borders are now done and I'm ready for a beer or 3 as the temp here hits a muggy 22C (feels like 19C). Cheers. |
