2 wheelbarrow loads of dirt, mud, small stones and wisteria roots plus a bucket full of rocks latter and my drainage trench now actually goes somewhere so now I just have to wait until Tuesday's rain to see how it flows and if I may need to plane it out a bit more to fully drain. I was hoping to get into the brewroom this morning, but I just can't seem to get warm enough as yet to move freely enough to do the job (though it's still early and I'm still hopeful). We kicked off here at 1C (felt like -3C) and 2hrs later it's 2C (still feels like -3C) as the wind starts to pick up speed again while a hopeful 11C is expected. I'll have another good tonne of firewood dropped off here tomorrow to give my new kindling splitter and lump hammer something to do for a while while keeping the whole place warmer.
