Monday morning and it's raining!!!

Now I hear there is a flash flood watch north of me and the levees on one small island breached. I still look forward to May flowers.

I’m not feeling ok today, fever, diarrhea, orange vomit which I wiped up, it doesn’t show brown fabric or wood, but it does on my white t-shirt. Food poisoning, yeah I know what caused it as my burrito was cold. I had some dinner, hopefully it’ll stay down as well as the sprite.

It seems that as the sun goes further west beyond the horizon the heavier this rain is getting here. :-(

Anyhow I'm just waiting to feel ready to do another customised stuffed crust pizza for dinner. ;-)

Cheers.

We're finally getting a bit of sunshine happening here so I went out to see how the yard is. It's just like a sponge sitting in a bowl of water so I very much doubt that I'll get a much needed mow in over the next couple of days before the next lot of wet weather arrives. :-(

I also took a look at my drainage trench and it's now holding water which is good for planing it out for fall (saves getting down on hands and knees with a spirit level), but the ground around the trench wouldn't support my 120 kilo frame without collapsing it so even that job has to wait as well.

Even though I'm only 3 doors down from the top of the hill here (75m) and no wet stuff has fallen in the last 2hrs the drainage trench that I dug out in the back laneway still has a very good stream of water running down it (I'm surprised that no fish are trying to swim up it yet).

Anyhow I'll just continue the industrious couple across the lane continue to clean up the results of dropping 2 large stringy bark trees that they had cut down. They'll certainly have plenty of firewood ready for the following winter when they get their house built before LLB time arrives.

Cheers.
