Berkeley Snow lab broke 200 inches and more snow is coming. They have over 70% of the average annual accumulation already. Pick up a bottle of Crystal Geyser, it's time to celebrate with a nice tall bottle of California water. Now I have to drive thru it this evening. :( |

That's some dump, and great news. Meanwhile in the UK we are "basking" in unseasonal warmth and (seasonalish) rain. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

This Thor's Day I awoke to 2" of fresh snow on top of the 2" which fell last Sunday and has turned into a sheet of ice. The temp has warmed up to just below freezing and the forecast is for the mess to be gone by Sunday. This corner of the upper left coast is not built for lowland snow. |

... Meanwhile in the UK we are "basking" in unseasonal warmth... Not by 'alf either!... We have some of the locals here dancing and basking in shorts and t-shirts!! (Edit: "Not the best of sights"...) (And wellies!) Very unseasonable... See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Well the sun is suppose to be up there somewhere behind those low hanging dark clouds that are being blown in from the coast. Cheers. |

Have you buggers stolen our summer? It should be over 20C by now yet we've just reached 15C (feels like 12C), but we are starting to get splashes of sunshine, so the yard edges will have to wait an hour or so longer (it would be so much nicer if that wind would just go away). I did eventually get my pruning done yesterday and filled the wheelie bin up again (the garbo can see the bin for a 3rd week in a row instead of once ever 3 weeks) leaving me with just the wisteria at the beginning of my driveway left to do, but the ground there is still far too soft for ladder work while wielding a 2-stroke hedge trimmer. Anyhow I might as well go and have another coffee while I wait for it to get warmer outside. Cheers. |

I'm just enjoying a quick beer break after finishing with the heavy line trimmer attachment on the Ryobi and once I've cooled down and reenergised it'll be time for the path edger attachment to make a cut around what hasn't already been done (a few places that have). ;-) Cheers. |

48F here, predicted low is 39F, the high was 54F w/a 16% chance of precipitation. Yep real warm here, its been as low as 22F here since 2004, before that I don't know. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

We've made it to 22C (feels like 20C) as I put the Ryobi away and the yard is now ready for mowing again. Cheers. |

Wonderful day. I am waking up in beautiful downtown Barstow! Today driving to Santa Fe, if my grandson holds up. Might end up in Winslow Arizona. Been looking for a girl with a flatbed Ford. Might be time to stand on the corner again. |

I40 Carlos is coming. ;) 2hrs 56mins later Kingman AZ, it's only 206 miles. Flying J or Pilot is $4.29 a gallon for 87 gasoline in Barstow, which is less than Eddie World @ $4.89. Have fun Carlos. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |
