Lost under an all enveloping overcast! Is this winter, spring, or was yesterday our teaser for summer? See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

In Texas winter came and the state shutdown and people died. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

A mere kink in the jet stream and a deadly exposure of corrupt politics. Will anything get fixed in a good way? Or yet more political 'fixing'?... Solutions please on the Texas thread... See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

Sabre Tooth cats are technically not gone, as there have been more than a few that have come and gone and so there could be more in the pipeline someday, maybe. One of the best-known genera is Smilodon, the species of which, especially S. fatalis, are popularly, but incorrectly, referred to as "saber-toothed tigers". However, usage of the word cat is in some cases a misnomer, as many species referred to as saber-toothed "cats" are not closely related to modern cats (Felidae). Instead, many members are classified into different families of Feliformia, such as Barbourofelidae and Nimravidae;[6] the oxyaenid "creodont" genera Machaeroides and Apataelurus; and two extinct lineages of metatherian mammals, the thylacosmilids of Sparassodonta, and deltatheroideans, which are more closely related to marsupials. In this regard, saber-toothed cats can be viewed as examples of convergent evolution.[7] This convergence is remarkable due not only to the development of elongated canines, but also a suite of other characteristics, such as a wide gape and bulky forelimbs, which is so consistent that it has been termed the "saber-tooth suite."[8] The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I wonder what new evolution is evolving in the various pollution "no-go" zones that human activities have left abandoned around the world?... See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |
