Well, I watched almost an hour of various takes on the incidents. To me the videos weren't very convincing although the comments by the military personnel were. Now we've got to wait for what comes out of the government report, if anything. Officially nobody seems very worked up about the whole thing.

I think the reason for the change in official attitude toward UFOs could have to do with the quality of the recent sightings. If military pilots are seeing these things every day for two years, or when fourteen of them appear at once around military ships, looking rather like an aerial flotilla, maybe the problem of UFOs becomes too large to ignore.

It's assumed that Senator Reid was the instigator of the UFO investigations, but the details aren't that certain. The Pentagon provided him with the information they had about the recent sightings. Perhaps they hoped, or even expected that the information was strong enough to provoke the Senator to action.

That would furnish the military with civilian 'cover' for their investigations, and color any revelations they thought it necessary to make with the aura of following the instructions of the civilian government. That could be seen as less alarming to the public than the military revealing what it knows of UFOs, acting on their own.

They are Not Interested in Our Activities. ETs can figure in an instant, Earth is a Comedy of Repeated Errors.

Besides, they have been here fo 1000s of years and have Not seen a change.

Now that we're in June, there is speculation about what date within this month the Pentagon and Intelligence Services will submit their report on UFOs/UAPs to the United States Senate. Some seem to assume, without any apparent foundation, that this will occur today.

If we look at the limiting date of 180 days from the enactment of the legislation, on December 27, 2020, we get June 25. Of course there's no way of knowing if the report will be held up until the last possible day. It might be presented earlier.

Some have opined that even 180 days makes for a great deal of work, in a relatively short period of time. This argues for the latest possible date, and even the possibility of a summary report on that date with more to follow, as additional data is rendered into the form of a report.

I'm not holding my breath until the document(s) are made public and I really don't expect to see anything like what many are hoping for regardless of what the pentagon and CIA really know.

Russian or Chinese hypersonic cruise missiles? Remarkable that these could dart about, and even hover, but show no traces of the heat plumes from their rocket engines, trailing out the back. Such trails would be revealed by infrared imagery, which the military uses routinely.

There is no "it". Has anyone claimed or verified that these radar anomalies are solid objects. Remember that radar returns echoes from clouds, birds, inversion layers and so on.

If I rapidly sweep a powerful searchlight against some very high clouds--you would see an "object" moving at incredible speeds. That is in essence what is happening here if the reports are true of hypersonic speed.
