Happy Birthday Bernie. :)
+1

My 3570K rig picked up another 27 bringing the total so far to 526.

Cheers.

So much for S@H shutting down. :)

I walked into my homelab and to discover my C1-PC gaming is running its fans at 100%. The event log says I received a whopping 265 new tasks at around 3:30am Pacific Time!

My server, The-Beast, got nothing though. :( I fired up my gaming laptop, The-Predator, in hopes of getting some there. We'll see what happens.

How long can we expect to get these straggling work units?

Interesting, isn't it - that blissful feeling about things that have always been there since they became rare.
Congrats!

If they don't do anything to speed things up, up to another 6 months, in ever decreasing numbers.

I think 2.5 months is probably closer.

I think, when the number of unvalidated tasks in the field drops below about 5000 to 10000, they can probably run them locally in a few hours or days
Maybe just the last few hundred will be run locally.

There are still just over 2.3 mil, but that seems to have reached a peak about 5 hours ago.

I think it's unlikely for the next 24 hours, they probably want to see what the Results in the field are doing for a while.
Maybe when that approaches 2 million, or Results returned starts dropping, they might decide to make another intervention.

Just my guess.

In around 14hrs my 2500K rig's Rosetta tasks should be finished (or timed out) and then it'll get into those 144 CPU tasks that it has ATM. ;-)

Cheers.

Looks like another 'Eric special' presend. They weren't due to time out until 25 April.

Well those Rosetta tasks were done with (1 way or another) early this morning so I suspended Einstein (my GPU only project) and let all 4 cores go to work on those Seti tasks for the last 12hrs and I've whittled them down to 112 now, but as another frosty morning is expected I've resumed Einstein so I'll be just running 1 Seti task at a time overnight and then I'll switch back again in the morning.

Cheers.

The last of the blc's (about 250) with dateline of Jun 26 are starting to crunch now. after that only 2K Arecibo vlars will rest to crunch.

The end is near.

Greetings,

How is it that a host with a Core 2 Duo CPU and 2 GPUs has 19,726 tasks in progress? My laptop had a Core 2 Duo CPU and an ATI GPU that could not run tasks and that laptop had no more than maybe 10 tasks at any given time. I don't get it! :\ Oh, I forgot, that host received 737 tasks TODAY!!!

Have a great day! :)

Sure not mine, i only have one host but i think you already know the answer.

BTW The last BLC gone, now only rest about 2K of Arecibo Vlars to crunch on it.

<edit> The servers decide to give me a gift of resends, i know they still like me.
Wed 22 Apr 2020 11:08:08 AM EST | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed: got 144 new tasks

<edit 2> All already served and reported as asked by Richard.
@Richard by your command! Is that fast enough for you? LOL

LOL - you are comparing desktop CPU to laptop CPU and and a GPU that can run Linux Special Sauce to GPU that can't run tasks at all :D

Your laptop has a dual core Pentium, not a Core 2 Duo. Just because it's dual core doesn't mean it's "Core2 Duo", which is a specific branding for that line of processors.

but you already know the answer to your question. How is it that you keep posting the same questions over and over that have already been asked by yourself and answered several times?
