Very strange scenes: Facebook sort-of blocks anti-quarantine events – how many folks are actually behind these 'massive' protests online? wrote: ... Not that it's a good idea to open all those gyms, restaurants etc. but those businesses will expect to be paid, and there are going to be lots of people not going back to work, and struggling to pay for basics such as food, utilities and mortgage or rent. Just one place in Georgia, Hartsfield–Jackson International Airport employs over 60,000 people on site plus many more in associated support businesses. Who with Trump's latest on immigration won't be going back to work soon. |

King Donald has touched the GOP. https://www.upi.com/Top_News/US/2020/04/21/Gallup-Americans-more-concerned-with-getting-COVID-19-than-economic-fallout/8821587498468/?ds=2 April 21 (UPI) -- The coronavirus pandemic tops the list of the most important problems facing Americans, a poll released Tuesday indicates. So as the GOP follow King Donald's order and reopens, something only 6% of Americans care about, and COVID-19 blows up exponentially, will the GOP have a future? When those GOP have to lock their states down for the second time and likely for a longer second lock down with more restrictions than the first, how is their GOP base going to respond and how about the democrats? Everything King Donald touches dies. Brought to you by the Dorr brothers conspiracy ;-) <ed>They make Soros look tame. |

King Donald? Oh. The founding fathers of the United States of America are shivering in their graves. For all good reasons. Did "We the free people" wanted that to happen? |

Trumps claims for anti-malarial drug in dispute, and his golf courses and hotels not doing well. Anti-malarial drug Trump touted is linked to higher rates of death in VA coronavirus patients, study says An anti-malarial drug President Trump has aggressively promoted to treat covid-19 had no benefit and was linked to higher rates of death for Veterans Affairs patients hospitalized with the novel coronavirus, according to a study, raising further questions about the safety and efficacy of a treatment that has seen widespread use in the pandemic. US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has released a new report on Intel Community Assessment of Russian Interference with the 2016 US presidential election. Mark Robert Warner (born December 15, 1954) is an American businessman and politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Virginia, first elected in 2008. He is a member of the Democratic Party and currently a Vice Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus and the Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee. .......says all that needs to be said about motivations of Mark Warner.........same as Schiff, Pelosi, and Humpty Dumpty Nadler. Still trying to sell the discredited (by their own appointee, Mueller), Roosia, Roosia, Roosia, theory. By the way, the over/under on this report was (as expected) right down party lines. We'll soon see what Special Counsel John Durham has dug up...........stay tuned. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has released a new report on Intel Community Assessment of Russian Interference with the 2016 US presidential election. Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) is only the vice chair. Sen. Richard Burr (R-N.C.), the committee’s chairman. said “Russia’s aggressive interference efforts should be considered ‘the new normal,’ That warning has been borne out by the events of the last three years, as Russia and its imitators increasingly use information warfare to sow societal chaos and discord. With the 2020 presidential election approaching, it’s more important than ever that we remain vigilant against the threat of interference from hostile foreign actors.†|

US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence has released a new report on Intel Community Assessment of Russian Interference with the 2016 US presidential election. Some are deaf, blind and prejudiced and couldn't even realize the report was reported out by the Republican Majority US Senate. They will continue to deny it no matter what evidence is presented because they "believe." It is pretty much like that flat earth guy who recently killed himself. |

OF COURSE the Russian government (and the Chinese government and the Iranian government and the D.P.R.K.) 'increasingly use information warfare to sow societal chaos and discord', the same as they have for many years. This is not news to anyone. And they have succeeded in driving a wedge between American citizens by sowing misinformation and enlisting the willing or unwitting support of various elected officials in that effort. https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/sites/default/files/documents/Report_Volume4.pdf Page 48 Further, a body of reporting, to include different intelligence disciplines, open source reporting on Russian leadership policy preferences, and Russian media content, showed that Moscow sought to denigrate then-candidate Clinton And just to kill off another point. Page 157 This report also provides additional evidence against Donald Trump s false assertions regarding Ukraine. For example, the Committee conducted an extensive examination of the intelligence demonstrating Russia's intrusions into DNC networks. That review, which confirmed the ICA's findings, is fundamentally incompatible with Trump's conspiracy theories about Ukrainian involvement, for which there is no supporting evidence of any kind. Also a quick synopsis. https://www.warner.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/2020/4/senate-intel-releases-new-report-on-intel-community-assessment-of-russian-interference |

It looks like v2.0 does want to start a war. :-( Trump issues order to US navy to 'destroy' any Iranian boats that 'harass' them at sea. So a bit of harmless "buzzing" was too much v2.0, but I guess that it also distracts from the mess that he's making at home. Meanwhile he's gone quiet on his so called "wonder drug". Trump stops hyping hydroxychloroquine after study shows no benefit. In fact in seems to be a bit hard on the heart for some patients, but v2.0's daily Trump's coronavirus briefing casting keeps people guessing. Anyhow I'm pretty sure that he'll come up with something else to help distract and focus his followers in ways that will fracture U.S. society even further (if not the world if he could). |

A doctor says he was removed after pressing for rigorous vetting of treatments embraced by Trump. The doctor who led the federal agency involved in developing a coronavirus vaccine said on Wednesday that he was removed from his post after he pressed for a rigorous vetting of a coronavirus treatment embraced by President Trump. The doctor said that science, not “politics and cronyism,†must lead the way. |

Not looking good for ol' King Donald. He just might have to abdicate! https://apnews.com/9ed271ca13012d3b77a2b631c1979ce1 Among all adults 87% think the restrictions are either not enough or about right. Only a paltry 12% think they go too far. Remember the protests to open? An amoral minority. And when it backfires?! https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/most-americans-like-how-their-governor-is-handling-the-coronavirus-outbreak/ 69% of Americans like how their state governor is doing things. 51% of Americans don't think King Donald is doing it well. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-election-battlegrounds-exclusive/exclusive-poll-signals-strengthening-support-for-biden-over-trump-in-three-midwest-battleground-states-idUSKCN2243KJ NEW YORK (Reuters) - Republican President Donald Trump trails Democrat Joe Biden among registered voters in three Midwestern battleground states that he narrowly carried in 2016 and are seen as crucial to winning November’s election, according to an Ipsos public opinion poll conducted exclusively for Reuters. Maybe the GOP had better draft Romney while there is still time. |

The Guardian........ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Guardian The paper's readership is generally on the mainstream left of British political opinion,[8][9] and its reputation as a platform for liberal and left-wing editorial has led to the use of the "Guardian reader" and "Guardianista" as often-pejorative epithets for those of left-leaning or "politically correct" tendencies. .......no radical Left axe to grind there................not. ... Meanwhile he's gone quiet on his so called "wonder drug". Sounds to me like 'anecdotal' tales of woe...........and from the all doubters POV, what percentage of those "third of veterans at US military hospitals" had pre-diagnosed terminal comorbidity? Always something left out that doesn't quite fit the narrative. That's called fake news by omission. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

The Guardian........As a life-long reader of, and now subscriber to, the Guardian, I don't mind the jokes - the other two common ones are that Guardian reading is confined to beard-owners and sandal-wearers. Guilty to both. But a falsehood that applies neither to me personally, nor to what we know of the readership in general, is that the Guardian readership is left-wing - i.e. on one of the extreme fringes of British politics. |
