We are at 145k results returned per hour. This is a bit high, but the system seems to be handling it just fine, so no panic.

All work needs to be processed the faster the better IMHO. I am aware there is currently server issues hopefully these will sort themselves out

If you don't like Groundhog Day (process in the same data) process some work over at beta. Like I am doing

Nice short and early outage for Tuesday ! Great job Seti team!!!

The electric company in north California has listed Alameda county as a possible shutdown area for the winds coming Wednesday/Thursday. I'm not sure how this will affect Seti.

Stuff processed on Beta never contributes to the main database so don't fret.

I am not fretting. I just wanted to let Stephen know there was an alternative because he keeps on mentioning about Groundhog Day that was the only reason why I said it

Places like COLO must have an emergency power generator or something similar, if no we are doomed.

. . Well I am hoping that the comms company that supplies UC and the Berkeley Lab both have standby generators for such occasions. UPS's are only for the short term.

Attention

As you may know, PG&E has announced that most of the Bay Area is on alert for a potential power outage starting on Wednesday or Thursday, to guard against fire dangers that may accompany anticipated high winds. Parts of the campus community could be impacted if a power outage occurs in our area. Campus leaders and emergency officials are convening throughout the day today to gather the latest information from PG&E, and a follow up email will be sent to the campus community later today. To ensure you are getting the latest campus alerts as quickly as possible, please sign up for text alerts from WarnMe: https://warnme.berkeley.edu

All IT systems and services hosted in the campus data center, as well as all systems and services hosted external to the campus data center, are expected to be available during the PG&E planned power outage.

I notice that they have said "are expected to be available", not "Will be available".
Stuff happens.

Lets hope Berkeley U's generators aren't put too much to the test =:|

"We have generators in several locations on campus to help keep things functioning. However, resources to keep the generators running may become limited depending on the duration of the outage. This would occur if the needs of other regional institutions (i.e. hospitals, emergency services, etc) become prioritized ahead of our needs." https://technology.berkeley.edu/pge-outage/faqs

What that last part says is we have X hours of diesel in the tank. We aren't sure if we can get more delivered if all Hell breaks loose. If Hell breaks loose running the data center is low priority as it should be.
