Nothing is "up" - just that the Arecibo telescope hasn't been doing any suitable observations for a week or so, thus we don't get any new data to process.

You can check the schedule for the Aricebo telescope here https://www.naic.edu/vscience/schedule/scedfra2.htm

As I said in an earlier post, they will collect more data for the seti project (ALFA on the calendar) on Friday. They usually split the file pretty quickly after it is collected (within a few days, sometimes even within 24 hours)

I cannot "ALFA" on the 17th 20th or 21st of May. I am looking at the following page https://www.naic.edu/vscience/schedule/scedfra2.htm May 07 19

on the aricebo schedule webpage, they use something so that when you hover over a project number it will do a mini popup (maybe popup is not the right word, a small floating bit of info) that tells you about the project. I use a blocker, so I have to allow some things to see it.

make sure you hover the pointer over a project number in the calendar
and make sure you don't have anything running in your browser that might block the info

I don't know the proper name is either. I've heard them called "hover bubbles" from other developers. I see several days in that week for observation by the ALPHA receiver assigned to a project ID named P2030. Should be quite a few files collected I would think.

Thanks for your tips. I am unable to find the label you describe "ALFA" I will just have to all me that the updates when they come through as to when data is being collected

Just keep an eye on the server status page (https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_server_status.php) - in the right hand block of columns near the bottom files with names like "19ma19xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" will appear - these come from the Arecibo telescope and we can expect a few APs to be coming out from the splitters....

Thanks Rob. With some luck I might be able to get some tasks when the time comes around

The drought continues on the upper left coast, metinks APs might be a myth from the ancients.

I don't have good news :-(. It looks like they updated the schedule at Aricebo, and it doesn't look like we are getting any files today. I see it next on Thursday May 23. I truly hope I'm wrong, and we get some sooner.

I think I just got a resend of a ghost task but got 1 AP yesterday and I still have way too many ghosts to process.
