Today is PC DOS v3.0 Day!!!
On this day in 1984, IBM released PC-DOS v3.0 for PC/AT. Remember those days? A 286 processor, 20-30meg hard drive and 256k/512k RAM for somewhere between $6,000 and $9,000. Ah yes, the good ol' days. ;-)

"I am thankful the most important key in history was invented. It's not the key to your house, your car, your boat, your safety deposit box, your bike lock or your private community. It's the key to order, sanity, and peace of mind. The key is 'Delete.'"

Well they say that anything down under will try and kill you, and sadly they're likely right.

Fish launches into boat off Darwin, killing 56-year-old man, NT Police say.

Northern Territory Police say the man had been fishing with family and friends on Darwin Harbour on Friday when he was "struck in his chest by a large fish which launched itself into the boat".

A local fisherman said he understood the fish was an 18-kilogram mackerel.

"From reports, it was like an 18-kilo mackerel, so it would have been a big fish that speared right into this guy and caused major blunt [force] trauma," James Crane said.

On a weird note the politics forum has been silent for over a day. This is becoming more common since Tulsa.

It's difficult to hold a debate when the other side has left the building.

Would you do this to save your house?
With No Water Left, Man Grabs Cans of Bud Light and Helps Save Home from Wildfire
... When I first grabbed the cans of beer and ran down there, I was shaking them up and opening them up but it was just dispersing too quick,” Little explained. “When I saw that nail, I would just puncture a hole and shake as I was going, and I could aim it and concentrate on the bad parts” of the fire.

I did something similar once to save a Van. While driving an electrical fire started behind the dash. I used a Dr.Pepper to put it out. (Remember I said I was driving. No open containers.) It worked!
Freaked me out. On the freeway and visibility instantly went to zero from the smoke. I had to put it out, open windows, and maintain it in the lane.

Imagine having this custom floor covering in a guest bedroom and putting someone in there to sleep it off.

From the you just can't make it up department:
Arrested for Attending Funeral Service for Colleague Who Died of Coronavirus
... the police officer did not seem phased by their apology, responding that they were acting irresponsibly by getting together for such a gathering during a pandemic.

Did they also buy some peanuts?

Have the Vogons arrived already?!!!
