Sure looks like the POTSUMSC to me. (I'm just making this up as I go... Plain Old Telephone Service Underground Multi Strand Cable...) I have the same species near my home. Where these "roots" break through above ground they sprout peculiar flowers that have no discernable odor but make jangling sounds from time to time. :) |

Here is a look at the RTX 3090 from a purely compute perspective. And as impressive as it's compute performance is compared to previous models, when it makes use of software that was developed for it's capabilities, it makes previous cards such as as the Titan RTX look positively glacial. And as drivers improve, and more application are developed specifically to take advantage of the RTX 3xxx series capabilities, they will only get faster. STH NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Review. Thanks for the graph Grant, I agree with new cards will only get faster |

I'm crunching for Rosetta. While they do Covid work, they also do work on plenty of other medical projects. As bad as Covid is, all the pre-existing illnesses are still out there. Edit- they're CPU only, so you can have your GPUs crunching on other projects. Grant Darwin NT |

Yes I have also done work for Rosetta however I left it off the list because I think/thought they had moved away from Covid work. I completely agree though other medical work is important and still out there |

Why do you run a particular BOINC gpu project? According to Google /Boinc, the only Boinc projects that use Nvidia GPUs are: Collatz Conjecture (Windows and Mac OS X on Intel) And AMD/Ati: Collatz Conjecture (Windows, Windows 64bit, Linux 64bit) Am I missing anything? The reason I am interested in it is I have a Gtx 1660 Super that I have now mated with a 3900x CPU as my "daily driver" and I was wondering what choices I had besides E@H? While I am not sure my daily driver is going to continue to run "all the time" it is one of two machines I have Nvidia video cards on. So I am trolling for more information. Tom M Opps. Forgot MLC@Home which does run gpu tasks. Don't remember which brand (maybe both). A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

Personally I think GPUGRID is the best choice for modern nvidia GPUs I have a 1660 Super doing about 450,000 cred/day at 100 watts. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

One task at a time. You don’t want to run more than one GPUGRID task at a time as the CUDA app already uses all the compute resources it needs with 95+% GPU utilization. This is also on Linux. The Windows apps are about 15% slower than Linux on GPUGRID Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |

It is up and running with one task at a time. The RAC per task seems to vary all over the place. Tom M A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association). |

each task runtime varies a bit, but daily credit is pretty consistent at GPUGRID. your system has done just about 390,000 each day it's been up, which is what I would expect from a 1660 Super on Windows. you'll get a bit more productivity and faster run times in Linux though. Saw a comment over on a Discord channel about the imminent move of Ether 2.0 to POS algorithm and the fallout in mining hosts that will produce. Should force all Ether miners to either dump all their equipment to purchase the 32 Ether buy in stake, or switch to other ethash alt-coins. Could produce a glut of used mining cards on the secondary market. And reasonable prices. Seti@Home classic workunits:20,676 CPU time:74,226 hours A proud member of the OFA (Old Farts Association) |

still hybrid with mining for now. but eventually mining will stop. Seti@Home classic workunits: 29,492 CPU time: 134,419 hours |
