The best of which I saw was the one of a WWII ship loaded with "European" refugees been taken to a "safer" place in the Middle East. Wasn't liked when I pointed out the B/S as the ship wasn't built until 1960 :-)

I was able to do that because of knowledge of that time period. What I dread is future generations not knowing either their own history or that of others, so that "fake news" will remain uppermost in their brains as "real" history. :-(

Anyways, the directive to separate children from their parents/guardians was the "brainchild" of DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and AG Jeff Sessions, who by criminalizing illegal entry invoked the directive that children can't be imprisoned with their parents. (If anyone doesn't believe me or wants to insist that it's US law or some other baloney, I'd like to see an official citation for this, ie a U.S.C. code reference, SCOTUS case ref., MLA/APA house bill citation or White House release... good luck with that.)

IMHO POTUS Trump made the situation worse by spreading the unfortunately usual falsehoods about it ie he had no choice, it was the Democrats, etc. This act is wearing thin. I understand that he was hired to do an unpleasant and difficult job that other presidents didn't want to get (as) involved in: fixing the immigration issue and others, but this behaviour undermines his efforts. Happily he has done the right thing now.

I totally agree it is important news. It says so much more about the people that have been hired to run the swamp. That they are not wise in the way of the swamp.

However what I find much more interesting is that all these children that are being torn away from their parents, when their parents are deported, are now to be given a green card. They are a special case in the system, an abandoned or abused child that has no legal parents. Seems Shrub and Obama knew that and that is why they didn't separate the kids from the parents. They weren't going to give a free pass to millions to swarm the USA, unlike 45 who is. OBW tearing the children away from the parents is listed as genocide, if it is systematic, and a Presidential directive is systematic. All his complaining about human rights abusers in the UN belies that he is one of the biggest of them all. At least he had the decency to have the USA resign.
