Speaking of immigration. Trump admin released a report claiming to show a link between terrorism and immigration, based on data from "an analysis conducted by DHS." ...but Department of Homeland Security, DHS, didn't conduct the analysis. They don't even have that data. They didn't contribute to the report at all. https://www.thedailybeast.com/team-trump-bypassed-dhs-analysts-to-produce-bogus-terror-report |

Speaking of immigration. Pretty damning report, that confirms all Trumps and Sessions claims about immigrants are just figments of their imaginations. Including the ones that all Latinos are rapists and drug dealers. Therefore the Travel Bans and The Wall are not required. |

Has the Stormy Daniels coverup caused a split in the Trump household? Melania Trump will no longer join the President in Davos. Also it looks like any North American cars destined to come here will now come from Canada and/or Mexico instead of the U.S.. Trans-Pacific Partnership to be signed in March as Canada gets back on board. Cheers. |

Can someone explain how import duties on solar panels are going to help the US economy and jobs. At the moment there are only a couple of thousand jobs in the US producing panels. This will maybe double under 45's plan and they will probably still be more expensive than those for Asia. While at the same time there are several hundreds of jobs installing and maintaining solar farms. Only the panels are imported the steel work etc. is manufactured in the US. made from US steel. Any increase in costs could make some farms still in the planning stage uneconomic. Leading to job losses, prediction is over 100,000 in the solar industry, with possibly others in the supply chain. |

Blin. I think Trump is very fond of the Russian group Pussy Riot's member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova "Nadya Tolokno" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nadezhda_Tolokonnikova https://twitter.com/NoiseyMusic/status/939245722238558208 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-bKFo30o2o Stay Cheeki Breeki:) |

45 and his boys not doing very well. A year into his presidency, signs of price drops at Trump hotels In Toronto and New York’s SoHo neighborhood, meanwhile, Trump’s brand became so polarizing that it was dropped. For instance, hotel rates have plunged throughout Panama, where the most expensive rooms at the Trump International Hotel & Tower Panama, in Panama City, are down 71 percent — from $4,222 for two nights last year to $1,218 this year. The least expensive rooms are down 12 percent, from $466 to $409. In Manhattan, where the hotel market has softened as well, the Trump International Hotel & Tower New York, overlooking Central Park, is also experiencing rate drops. Last January, a two-night stay at the most expensive room there cost $3,738. Now, the rate is $2,842. The least expensive room rate dropped from $1,362 to $776. |

Appears Schumer and the Democrat Party are in serious political trouble by not compromising to save the DACA kids. The 'Rock & The Hard Place' some Dim Wags burning their hair because Schumer caved, and the rest with hair afire for his creating the Schumer Shutdown. And the Trump Economy keeps on boiling despite Dim efforts to distract, disrupt and..............RESIST! The Dims are Tortoises flipped on their backs with their legs weaving helplessly as they scream at the sky. And the 'Secret Cabal' inside the Federal Bureau of Intimidation is scurrying for the shadows as the rocks they've hidden under are overturned. 6 months, 50,000 'LOST' text messages from the Cabal principals, Strzok and Page. Nixon only lost 18 minutes. This is on the Hill-liary scale of deception. As with the IRS the slime will be exposed but not punished. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Can someone explain how import duties on solar panels are going to help the US economy and jobs. A conservative brain only is capable of understanding a two state diagram. To understand your question requires a brain capable of understanding a four state diagram. You can wait for Godot. |

Can someone explain how import duties on solar panels are going to help the US economy and jobs. Trump's base feels green energy is bad for the economy therefore anything that hurts green energy must be good for the economy. |

The above foundation of, and name calling is what humanity must reject. How can speaking the truth be name calling. And as I know Gary rejected both 45 and Clinton, and spoke up for an Independent, an I am strictly middle of the UK road. Neither of us is from any radical wing. I find extremists are repulsive, and are usually those who know what they know and reject all facts and figures. |

Produced in the USA? Yep, green is bad regardless of where it comes from. Specifically the cabal of coal interests and the power companies not wanting the competition from private solar have in this case green/solar is bad for their economies and Trump is assisting them. |

Produced in the USA? Didn't you read my post. US production could double but that would only bring in a couple of thousand workers. But due to the increased costs of solar panels at least 100,000 jobs would be at risk directly. Plus other jobs would be at risk in the construction business and for those that produce the steel and fabricate the steel frames which are all US sourced. Your idea would create 2,000 jobs and lose 120.000. Logical, I think not. |

Let's employ our own to produce them. The major manufacturing job growth in this country will involve AI to avoid the cost of human labor. |

I believe reasoning individuals will find upon examination that Conservative policies regarding energy are an all of the above approach. Stop taking sides and let the market determine the viable mix of all sources, oil, gas, wind, solar and Unicorn farts. Job displacement is going to continue to occur no matter what the endeavor, weavers were replaced by automated looms. So what? New jobs will be created if Government stays OUT OF THE WAY. That is what has happened in the last year. "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Just one question. If AI doesn't significantly move American Workers into new AI jobs. The current system doesn't answer that question, unless you count the "all volunteer military". |

Can someone explain how import duties on solar panels are going to help the US economy and jobs. There it is, a two state diagram, binary thinking. |

Interesting. So if we rushed towards solar, over 100,000 people would lose their jobs. You have some weird thinking. Explain how the US is going to rush towards solar when the panels are going to cost more. They are going to cost more because; a) Trump has imposed a b) If more panels are produced in the US they will cost more than the base price of foreign manufactured one because of higher costs all round in the US, even if they are mainly made by automation/robots. The actions by 45 will see a decrease in US solar expansion not a rush. And the subsequent decrease in the supporting industries, so 45 won't see his expected increases in the steel industries either. The rush period is now over, finished, kaput. *https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/23/opinion/trumps-tariffs-manufacturing-jobs.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=opinion-c-col-right-region®ion=opinion-c-col-right-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-right-region |

And since that costs money. Who will pay for that? The oligarchs will pay the mercenaries to protect their positions. The mercenaries will purchase from the oligarchs and provide them with profits. There will also be some economic activity outside of the oligarchy which both the mercenaries and oligarchs will support as needed. |

Your conditional clause is redundant, because your thinking that there could be a rush after 45's decision is nescient. |

I believe reasoning individuals will find upon examination that Conservative policies regarding energy are an all of the above approach. Stop taking sides and let the market determine the viable mix of all sources, oil, gas, wind, solar and Unicorn farts. I agree with this, but actually it happened long before... plants stopped using coal and migrated to gas once the infrastructure was in place, as gas is much safer and less expensive especially over the long term. Coal is not a good source of energy by mass, it has to be mined instead of just tapped or fracked out of the ground, it can't be pipelined which adds more to its cost but instead needs to be shipped or railroaded, and whereas gas burns completely into carbon dioxide and water, coal leaves a toxic residual ash high in heavy metals that adds yet more expense to get rid of properly and can cause major problems if it gets into the environment ie by a tailings breach. I wish that some people would stop seeing "renewables" as some sort of an anti-business bogeyman. There's a huge amount of money to be made from them, and by 2020 they (wind, solar, etc.) are going to be cheaper than any fossil fuels per kilowatt-hour, so expect further possible job losses in the coal sector. As someone once said to the fossil fuel magnates: "Stop thinking of yourselves as oil companies, coal companies, gas companies... start thinking of yourself as energy companies." Those that do will prosper, and sustainably so. |
