FORD beat Ferrari at LeMans w/a GT40, not that I'll ever own or fit in one, a Mustang would be as close to that as I have ever been, though today I'd rather have something all Electric.

Yes, Ford invested millions to beat Ferrari when Enzo would not sell the company to Hendry. The GT40 won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four consecutive times, from 1966 to 1969. The GT 40 was a modified Lola.

I have driven both. The original GT 40 is an all out race car. It has no A/C, radio, leather seats, or 8 track. My 308 could come close to keeping up, but it had creature comforts.

Yeah I knew about that Ferrari sale that never happened, Henry Ford would have been better off trying to buy Lamborghini, if that would have been possible at all.

Volunteer firefighter who narrowly survived deadly blaze graduates with PhD on bushfires.

Robert Sawyer can barely see, read or type after narrowly surviving one of Sydney's deadliest bushfires, but he has not let that stop him from finishing a PhD on the topic.
Graduating this week with a PhD into the impact of bushfires on soil, Dr Sawyer bears permanent signs of a fire event that killed three of his firefighting crew members and left him critically injured 35 years ago.
"I have no central vision in either eye so I'm legally blind, I can't read print, I find recognising faces next to impossible," he said. "I have extremely deformed hands. A combination between pig's trotters and lobster claws is often the most apt description, and I have no motor function below the knee."

Dr Sawyer was a university student in Armidale when he returned to his home in southern Sydney for the summer break in 1983. During the break he went to fight the Grays Point bushfire in the Royal National Park as a volunteer. His crew was surrounded by flames, and three members, including captain Keith Campbell, died.

He spent about five months in intensive care, another five months in the Concord Hospital burns unit, and about a year in rehabilitation at Thirroul.
Dr Sawyer uses a variety of technologies to read and type, including voice recognition software, but said it had its limitations. "All these things sort of combine to make life more than interesting, but you can sit in the corner and do nothing or you can get out there and do what you can," he said.

The pic is still MIA, got Facebook? Use that, I do, you might have to remove the S from HTTPS, but it does work.

We don`t even have to put it in a box.

Just had a "Bad Pool Caller" error on one of my Windows 10 computers. Never seen that one before! I occasionally have had the "Whea Uncorrectable Error", but this was a new one for me. Everything seems to be ok after a reboot. Beats me what happened.
