At noon it was 61ºF and the rain has stopped for now. Not like where my sister is living , the other day the wind chill was -89ºF. To darn cold for this guy. she is in up state New York. MN and Wis I think gets colder. My Brother said one time it was -33ºF in St. Paul MN and not counting the wind chill. He had to go out and brake the dog off of the tree. LOL |

Here in the highlands down under we're expecting a max of 27C today, but low 30's for the next 4 days before the rain makes its return. Yes it's bushfire season here at this time of year Sten, but I live near the northern end of the Northern Tablelands which is 1 of the coolest and wettest areas in this country at this time of year so we see very few of them. Many people from over there reckon that the flight is well worth it in the end. ;-) Cheers. |

Oh yes we here have our share of fires like last fall here the last two fires were real winners. Down in the LA area should be just about out, the fire we in Northern Cal. was just as bad burning out 7100 homes. Even I was ordered to stand by if the fire got closer. we were lucky here though that rain moved in two days later to help us out but LA I don't know if it's still burning yet or or not. So far we have had a low rain fall, under 5 inches and this is our wet season? better get with it. LOL |

After a couple weeks of temps in the single digit F's, it's predicted to be above 60 F by Wednesday! The mind is a weird and mysterious place |
