What a surprise!
Top US coal boss Robert Murray: Trump 'can't bring mining jobs back'

"America’s biggest coal boss is hopeful that his industry will soon be freed of “fraudulent” green legislation that has hampered his industry, but warned Donald Trump to “temper” expectations about a boom in mining jobs."

Hi Nick...

Guess you also agree with him regarding his statement that "green legislation" is "fraudulent".

As Sirius said "How did you come to that conclusion".
I have posted several times that Trump is not going to get the coal mining jobs back. I even told you the US companies mining equipment companies I have done work for.
All carbon fuel companies want the "green" policies rolled back. I do not agree with them, but that is not the real reason coal jobs are not coming back. The world has moved on and thanks to fracking there is a glut of cheap gas. That means with relatively minor modifications power stations can cut not only their long term costs but also their CO2 emissions. And if you hadn't noticed the cost of wind and solar generation have reduced.
All in all that means there is not a big demand for coal. Hence Mr. Murray's warning "Trump can't bring back mining jobs back"

His statement on "green legislation" being "fraudulent" is totally irrelevant.

So stop speculating on what others think, you are usually wrong, and concentrate on answering questions.

And if you are wondering why I didn't answer sooner. The answer lies in these clues, virtually no moon, clear sky's, and D810A.

Filed a federal ethics complaint with the U.S. House of Representatives’ Office of Congressional Ethics against Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) for “violating the Espionage Act and the Rules of the House by disclosing classified information without the authorization required by House Rules or any other proper authorization.”

Unlike Hillary who just mishandled, he intentionally divulged! LOCK HIM UP! LOCK HIM UP! LOCK HIM UP!

Has Trump had his 100 days in office yet ?

It would be a joke in a movie but now it's just sad to watch the US of A implode

Maybe America needed a second lesson about who they elect as they didn't learn the first time with Bush .

But will America?

Not an American so cannot realistically answer those questions.

Here's a better question for you:

Aside from using the voting booth, can you as a 70 year old retiree effect any worthwhile changes to your country?

Here's another article saying Coal Mining jobs will not come back.
WP - Trump promised to bring back coal jobs. That promise ‘will not be kept,’ experts say.

Hi Silly One. I do love your fascinating self-exposure of yourself..
Aside from using the voting booth, can you as a 70 year old retiree effect any worthwhile changes to your country?
As an Individual, I do the following.

I and others, assist out Disabled and sometime Homeless Disabled Veterans (sometimes just homeless) to get help. This includes meeting with Elected and Administrative Officials, and using our time to feed, and provide money where needed.

At a "local" level you are to be commended. However, it fails to answer the question.

How is that in reality effecting a worthwhile change on the nation?

With what you've been spewing forth on this board, shouldn't you be spending more of your time in fighting for more effective changes on a national basis? Or is it just a case of "looking" like a good Samaritan in your community?

Perhaps. But doesn't apply to the greater picture.

Ford cancelled New Plant in Mexico. Upgrading with new jobs, in Michigan.

Go read reliable sources, those plans had already been decided because the model planed for Mexico was facing rapidly declining sales. And the US plants in MI are to be built because the market wants electric and hybrids, which Ford had said would all be built in the US. So again Trump claiming credit for something the market had already decided.

Trump, a Capitalist, understands Economic 101. Put new policies in place, reduce taxes and regulations, etc. Which supplies the conditions for Increased Production and New Jobs.

No one, including Trump, will know which Industries will have the greatest impact. Just that it will be generally favorable to the Entire Economy and Jobs.

If you believe that, then you really are living in cloud cuckoo land.

‘There’s not a hope alive for us’: A factory Trump targeted begins its move to Mexico
The list came up Tuesday morning, near the assembly line. Twenty-three names. Twenty-three dates. And two words everyone dreaded: TENTATIVE LAYOFFS.

Rexnord, an industrial supplier in Indianapolis, was starting the two-month process of closing the factory and moving nearly 300 jobs to Monterrey, Mexico.

Then on one surreal December day, Trump thrust a plant that would have otherwise shuttered quietly into the national spotlight. “Rexnord of Indiana is moving to Mexico and rather viciously firing all of its 300 workers,” he tweeted. “This is happening all over our country. No more!”

The owners don't care what Trump said, They're going, south of the border.

http://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/remember-when-trump-said-he-saved-1100-jobs-at-a-carrier-plant/ar-BByZZSA?li=BBmkt5R

Moments later, Chris Nelson, Carrier’s president of North America HVAC Systems & Service, told workers gathered at the plant that over the next three years their 1,400 jobs would move to Mexico. “Yeah, f--- you,” one yelled. After telling the jeering throng “let’s quiet down,” Nelson said: “Relocating our operations to Monterrey will allow us to maintain high levels of product quality at competitive prices.” In a news release, Nelson also cited cost and pricing pressures linked to regulations.
Some workers left in disgust before Nelson finished. The same day, UTC said it would close a plant in Huntington, Ind., that supplies Carrier with circuit boards. That production is moving to Mexico, costing 700 jobs. Media coverage of the twin announcements was limited outside Indiana.
The next day, a three-and-a-half-minute cell phone video of the raucous Indianapolis scene popped up on YouTube. Breitbart News published the video along with a Trump interview in which he lashed out at Ford Motor Co. for plans to expand in Mexico and at Carrier for its Indiana decision. Trump followed up on Twitter: “I am the only one who can fix this. Very sad. Will not happen under my watch!”
While Trump fumed, UTC was preoccupied. Honeywell International Inc. was making private overtures for a merger with UTC, whose stock was at its lowest level in three years. After Honeywell’s interest went public, Hayes appeared on CNBC. When the host suggested Trump might look favorably on the deal, Hayes, a registered Republican, said, “He might get the nomination, but that’s it, right?”

Trump asked the CEO to reconsider the Carrier decision. Hayes responded that the plant in Mexico was almost complete and that Carrier was already years behind competitors in shifting furnace making there. As Hayes recalled, “He said, ‘Look, it doesn’t matter. I ran the kind of campaign that I was going to keep those jobs from moving to Mexico, and I want to do just that.’ ” Trump didn’t mention UTC’s billions of dollars in defense contracts, but he didn’t have to. “I was born at night, but not last night,” Hayes told CNBC late last year. And that was weeks before Trump proposed to boost military spending by $54 billion.
A big Carrier banner adorned a stage inside the Indianapolis factory on Dec. 1. Members of a union that had endorsed Hillary Clinton applauded as Trump, Pence, and Hayes told them about the deal to keep the plant alive. Trump singled out Bray—“great guy, handsome guy”—and boasted of saving more than 1,100 jobs.
The number wasn’t quite what it seemed. Included in the total were 300 white-collar jobs that were never scheduled to move. And at the same time, Carrier was sending workers a letter saying fan-coil production would leave for Mexico. The total number of positions saved was closer to 730. Union President Jones told the Washington Post that Trump “lied his ass off,” prompting Trump to tweet that Jones was doing “a terrible job.”

[Hayes] offers little comfort to the sorts of workers whose jobs he reluctantly preserved. “If you have a low-skilled job, they’re not safe no matter where you are,” he says. “The forces of globalization are not going to slow down.”

Capitalism demands cheap labor to keep costs down. You can throw out all the illegals you want, those jobs aren't going to Americans, and they're not staying in the U.S. no matter what Trump says.
