That's how it goes when your government is bought and paid for. The government works for the oligarchs, not the masses. The PEOPLE who are not worshipping leaders or demonizing them are our hope. Capitalize on this good fortune, one word can bring you round ... changes. |

As a concession to the R's, the ACA did not implement this(single payer) providing a service is NOT a "seizure of power". And seriously, the ACA was designed after 'Romneycare'- a REPUBLICAN plan. #resist |

@Guy, Little quiz for you, as you know so much about Romneycare and Obamacare, it will only take you a few minutes. I will give the source after you have answered, as the source page of the questions also allows you to get to the answers. Are you smart enough to tell the difference between ObamaCare and RomneyCare? Here are 10 descriptions of the plans that we got from the legislation that created the two plans, official summaries, private reports and interviews with experts. See if you know whether each description is for ObamaCare or RomneyCare. |

So, you and ex are going to continue to assert there's no such thing as a republican who is pushing for "progress" towards socialism/marxism/communism. As a republican almost certainly a conservative and supports capitalism, then by definition a republican cannot support socialism/marxism/communism. Just like there's no such thing as an extremist democrat. They're all centrists.... If you mean an extremist democrat is a socialist then you don't understand. Democrats and Socialists are two different political ideologies. |

@WK, guy invents meanings of words so they fit his preconceived fantasy notions. So like most of the other subjects he possibly attended, he failed "Politics 101" then. |

Socialism is an economic system not a form of government. Guy is convoluting the two. Why doesn't that surprise me? |

So, you and ex are going to continue to assert there's no such thing as a republican who is pushing for "progress" towards socialism/marxism/communism. Well, there used to be more "progressive" republicans than there are today if that's what you mean? However I would identify you as a conservative, and the foundation of Romney(Obama)care is not just republican, it's conservative. So what say ye? Edit: If the ACA is marxist to you, I'd love to see your reaction to true single-payer. #resist |

One thing Trump has done is to flush the hypocrites out of their closets. "A tad puzzled as to why they didn't debate the visit of the Saudi King or the Chinese President. I object to both of those getting the red carpet treatment and welcomed with open arms. Were the LBGT community asleep when the Saudi's were here? Homosexuality is punishable by death over there. Come to think of it the BBC were very quiet too. And where shall we even start on the Chinese? " MP's debate Trump's visit |

Libertarians are free thinkers. Again a different political ideology. On the evidence from some of the postings here, could it be that many of the population don't know that there are more than two political groups with some fence sitting independents in the middle. And I think your statement* "Only 2% of The USA voting population is Socialist" is probably wrong. With a basically two party system. Those on the left will normally vote for the party that is seen as the "Left Party", and vice versa. Which leads me on to the question. Do you think that the "Tea Party" are Republicans? *A question mark after such a statement does not make it a question. edit] Could someone inform 45. The US needs immigrants. |

*A question mark after such a statement does not make it a question. Why not. It did for me, I understood straight away that it was a question not a statement. Perhaps formed in a way to make it look like a statement, but in the end still a question. Different people express themselves in different ways, and definitely on these forums with many different nationalities and personalities involved comprehension can often be a problem. |
