Is anyone got AMD RX480 on Ubuntu 16.04 working for SETI or other BOINC GPU projects?

This means to me: Wait for AMD to create the AMDGPU-pro driver for Ubuntu17.04. :/ Maybe they are ready next winter. |

I just seen this in another thread, worth checking into. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=81351&postid=1863250 |

Finally i had success. I took the RX460 from the Ryzen-PC to the old PhenomII X4-PC. There is Ubuntu16.04 LTS installed. The installation of the amdgpu-pro was easy and successful, the GPU is crunching now. So i will use the GTX750ti in the Ryzen-PC, hoping that Nvidia-drivers are not so picky with version of the Operation system. |
