Wheee! At least some parts of the 20ja16aa and 22ja16aa are extremely noisy. Those are a couple of the tapes that produced APs that were 100% blanked. Now the MB tasks are pulsing like a '70s disco. They all appear to be overflowing with 30 Pulses. One of my machines just blew through 168 tasks in about an hour, when its normal output is about 30. The only thing stopping it from zipping through 2 or 3 times that many was that some guppi VLARs are salted into the mix, giving the GPUs something more satisfying to chew on periodically.

The "flakey" MB WUs have been flowing through for about 6 days now. Hopefully the end is nigh.

Check your ISP or reboot your modem/router/switch as there's no problems at this end. ;-)

Cheers.

Just had some Scheduler requests go through on both of my systems, no problems. And I had a quick look in the log & no signs of issues contacting the Scheduler there.

And no work units to send us now. The work buffer that was showing prior to the project restart has evaporated. I've been out of work on all three machines since last night. MilkyWay and Einstein have been getting the benefit this morning. But even MilkyWay is struggling to provide enough work for my machines for some reason. Einstein BRP4G tasks have been blowing through however with no competition from SETI or MilkyWay.

Oh, site back up at least. May this mean there will be WUs again?

Now I do CPU only and with just 2 cores I have about a 4-day buffer normally, which now would be 8-day since due to issues requiring checkups I'm back on my old computer for the time being, so I'd hardly notice such outages normally, but just due to the current situation I don't let it download much, to be able to quickly clear the queue (threw Mint on this one, so don't think they'd be resent when I'll be back on the normal computer on Windows?)... So ran dry today for the first time since 2014 I believe, hastily jumping first on World Community Grid where I had covered that period in 2014 with The Clean Energy Project Phase 2, then when that failed to deliver anything either (the project is admittedly listed as intermittent), on MilkyWay@home, which I had apparently used to cover SETI@home outages in 2011 and 2012. At least this seems to deliver for the moment, even if it claims the maximum number of tasks I can have is 14, and they take about 14 min each even on this comp. One on each core and that gets me to a buffer of barely 100 minutes.

Hm. My comps aren't used to being idle, at all, don't want them to get there :p

So what's up?

Ooh, good thing I checked again before sending. Got 3 WUs. It's a start.

Finally some tasks hit the high wind and fount their way across the ocean.
Ran out of work on main cruncher couple of hours ago. Waiting for the impact on the RAC that just had started flatting out after a big dive...

Caches pretty much back to full now. Amazing how much WU demand has grown, if my perception is correct. Right, the splitters churning out 55+/sec is not enough to keep up with demand. That's huge ...

SSP seems to be missing as of a few minutes ago. Responding with blank page, at least here.

Back now. Probably just traffic load after the outage. Weird, though.
