It does look nasty from the LA basin side looking over the mountains to the NE. And if I'm seeing those clouds near you they are monster tall!

We grow some real Frankenstein storms here, lots of heat, plus humidity from the gulf of California to the South, and there you go, We did get some rain out of it, but no flash flooding.

The storm is heading off to the NW now. :)

Yes, big high clouds yesterday, cloud tops >40,000 feet

With the earths curvature and the mountain range in between LA and Barstow I knew they had to be tall ones.

High here today was 77ºF/25ºC or 26ºC. :)

Every time they say we are going to get rain the storm moves in then splits and either goes a ROUND US OR GOES NORTH to Washington then down the mountain rangeleaving us dry. :(

My area is under a tornado watch until 11 pm EST. It's not stormy outside. We've just had some pitiful little cloudbursts today.

Our forecast first said it was going to be hot for yesterday but it only hit 77ºF, and it was great. the park behind me was packed and swimming in the river behind me also.

Today is forecasted to be 82ºF and no rain.

'Sposed to be some possibly nasty thunderstorms rolling through here later tonight. They are already coming into the western part of the state.

Hope they don't get too out of control. The thunder makes Purrball hide behind the waterbed. Bandit, on the other hand, seems to care less.
