I sure don't like that cold stuff. If that was -40, then C and F would be equal. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

That couple of inches of slushy snow turned out to be 6.7" here in Naperville. Still talking up a cold wave for late in the week. I need to wash my heavy coat. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

I have seen -28ºF in those days plus a 65 MPH wind which comes to =85ºF, Time outside? about 3 minutes. LOL My brother lives in St. Paul and he has told me at times it hit -33ºF,no thanks! No I'll take these 40's at night just fine. Grant |

That one was entitled "Northern Lights Phoenix Bird", seemed appropriate. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

At least last week's heatwave is past and we're back to low to mid 20C's here now, but it's going to get wet here again by mid week. Cheers. |

I'm in Minnesota. Right now, at almost 11 am, it's bright and sunny, and the temp/windchill is 1F/-10F or -17C/-24C. This is about what the rest of the week is supposed to be like. We just got 7 inches of snow yesterday. It's a bit chilly, but there are benefits. A little snow isn't a weather emergency, as in some places. We know how to shovel it and drive in it. (Well, most of us do.) We don't have fire ants or termites. A lot of people who might otherwise move here don't do it. And what's not to love about ice fishing? I've been to both coasts and the South. If I had to move anywhere else, I'd pick Montana, but I'm happy right where I am. “Upon opening the box, Schroedinger's raccoon will be observed in one of three possible states; alive, dead, or really, really pissed off.†|

Got a half foot of snow over the weekend. But the real nastiness is yet to come. Not snow, but sub zero moving in........ The crunchers have a hard time keeping the kitties warm, and my 26yo car does not like it much either. Even with the proper oil change, 0w20, it does not like to crank very well when it gets that cold. I have done everything I can..............new top of the line battery and a new starter motor this fall. When it gets that cold, it's all up to God and luck if Toothless will start for me. He is a good old dragon, but I cannot blame him for putting up a fuss when I ask him to get up and get going after sitting out in that kind of cold all night.
